Charlize Theron at the Burning Plain Paris Premiere - StyleFoul!

Celebrity StyleFoul

The NME awards are notorious for eccentric fashion choices, but none of them could compare to the outfit "created" by "music artist" La Roux. Wow.

    Getty Images

Naomi's extra-long gown at the Vanity Fair Oscar afterparty seemed familiar. So we checked and, sure enough, we had seen it before -- on Daryl Hannah in the 1984 hit movie Splash!!

    Everett Collection/Getty Images

Michelle Monaghan sports an orange Louis Vuitton dress with a sequined side cut out. And tulle. And net. And mesh. And matching LV shoes with feathers. Will it ever stop?

    Getty Images

Keira Knightley's smug expression is just begging us to judge this outfit that's somehow too small and too big at the same time.

    Getty Images

We just have two questions: Why is Tilda Swinton wearing the human flesh dress made by serial killer Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs? And couldn't she at least have it tailored to fit her?

Neither the color green nor those unfortunate shoulder pads are helping Jennifer Connelly look any healthier on the red carpet -- girl needs to eat!

    Getty Images

Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, went pattern crazy while playing with the puppies at the Metropolitan Police Dog Training Centre in Cornwall, UK.

    Getty Images

Up-and-coming Australian actress Teresa Palmer is drop-dead gorgeous. The shiny hair, the bright, expressive eyes, the thin-but-not-scary-skinny body ... she seems to have the whole package. Except, maybe, for the whole dressing for the red carpet part.

    Getty Images

The thing is, we love the fit of this dress -- it's super flattering and classy. And Teresa shines in light colors, so the white and beige is beautiful. But seriously, what is the deal with the beige bra cups?

Should we get past the weird boob accessories since we love the rest of the look so much? Or are those a deal breaker?

    Getty Images

Of course Teresa isn't the only celeb who suffers from the occasional red carpet flop. Scarlett Johansson clearly has her off days.

Oversized gold coat, check. High waisted pants that are way more frumpy than fashionable, check. What the heck was Scarlett Johansson thinking when she wore this outfit to the photocall for The Spirit in Madrid? This outfit is old lady-ish, and not in the sometimes hip Mary-Kate Olsen kind of way.

Charlize Theron is nearly perfect. She's gorgeous, talented, seems humble and appropriately concerned about social issues. Her style is almost unerring, mainly because she could look good in a burlap sack. Sadly, that accolade does not extend to bronze lamé sacks. In those, she looks as bad as the rest of us.

We get where she's going with this outfit, it's very 80's retro. And hello, legs! If we had stems like that we'd have gone shorter -- maybe even much shorter to distract from the madness going on around her neck. Too much bunching, twisting and sagging, and the skirt is so wrinkled we almost think it's supposed to look like that.

Plus, with a dress this "Dynasty" you need a hairdo that's so done it's a don't outside of Texas. Charlize's floppy updo makes this feel like she hanging out with her apple bong before the movie, realized she was late and had her assistant pin it up in the limo. It's a StyleFoul!, even though we know she'll immediately redeem herself, probably within the next 24 hours.

Charlize Theron in Dior - I Want That!

Charlize TheronCharlize Theron accompanied her go to guy, John Galliano, to the Christian Dior & Chinese Artists party. She should probably make a pact with herself that she will wear nothing but Dior 24 hours a day 7 days a week for the rest of her life. And oh my god isn't John Galliano awesome? What other guy can pull of man boobs with such elegance?

Charlize Theron in Ralph Lauren - I want that!

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Get the Look

Charlize TheronThere is just something about Charlize Theron that is so avant-garde yet so classic, so startlingly beautiful yet so welcoming. Here she brings a Ralph Lauren LBD up a notch with contemporary twists like lots of bling, sculptural shoes, and a tough clutch. Yet she still looks so comfortable and elegant.

Although we don't know her personally, clothing often reflects the woman inside and we think that's fitting to say in Charlize's case – an ultramodern woman who is as strong as she is warm. It's the woman that makes the clothes after all, right? Just a little rant because we have a total girl crush on Charlize. No big.

I want that! Charlize Theron in Givenchy

Ah! Totally into this little Givenchy number Charlize is wearing. Normally she opts for something bold but here she's shrinking back just a little in black. But you know what, no one, not even a little black dress puts Charlize in the corner. She's stunning - color or not.

Oh yeah, and that dress. A-ma-zing.

Valentino film draws Hollywood's hottest

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Red Carpet Trends

A number of Hollywood's finest were joined by countless lesser-known beautiful people at the Venice Film Festival's presentation of Matt Tyrnauer's documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor. It's only fitting that the glamorous would go the extra mile for a legend such as Valentino Garavani, and for the most part, we were not disappointed.

Elizabeth Hurley, Claire Danes, Charlize Theron, and many others showed up in style to hear Valentino's personal take on the film, such as the fact that his favorite parts of the film were, "... when I scream at Giancarlo (Giammetti)."

It's Andre 3000's party; if you're famous you can come

In three weeks, a new fashion season will be underway -- starting at New York under the tents and ending in Paris with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, and Miuccia Prada.

For the most us, you know, the regular folk, we'll be tracking all of the pretty streamlined dresses and funky handbags from our favorite designers on Style.com. However, there are a few lucky boys and girls who not only get front row seats to a Calvin Klein show during fashion week, but they also get invites to attend all of those super-swanky exclusive after-parties.

Case in point: Andre 3000. The rapper-turned-budding designer is getting a party thrown for him by Charlize Theron and her beau Stewart Townsend for his new line, Benjamin Bixby, on September 4th. We're not sure what type of design aesthetic Andre 3000 is working with, but we'd love to take a closer look at his pieces.

But yeah, our invitation seems to have gotten lost in the mail.

Find your nailpolish celebrity soulmate

We copy their hair, buy the dresses they wear, and try to match fashions with our favorite celebrities. So it only makes sense that we would identify with the way they do their nails.

From demure pinks to glittery metallics to wild patterns and colors, there are a million ways to paint your nails. Next time you're at the nail salon, when they send you to pick your shade, ask yourself, who do I feel like being today? Dark and wild, yet sophisticated, like Charlize Theron? Young and trendy, like Scarlett Johansson? Or are you Barbra, with nails like buttah?

Big summer premieres always draw a large crowd on Hollywood Blvd. Monday night was no different for Will Smith's Hancock premiere. Stars Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman walked the red carpet through piles of toppled cop cars and taxi cabs with their respective significant others. Casts from the past Tatyana Ali, Queen Latifah (in a sick pair of Nike Women's Dunks), Amanda Peet, Virginia Madsen and so many more showed their support for yet another super hero movie this year.

Jada Pinkett Smith looked stunning in a green dress with bright blue Indian-style earrings.

Right when I was zipping my camera bag shut Will, Charlize and Jason walked all the way back down the carpet for a group shot, but all in all, it was a great day for summer premieres -- especially since most celebrities don't want to come out to their friend's openings any more.
