Giorgio Armani creates collection for soccer team

Like professional football, baseball or basketball players in the US, pro soccer players in the UK can probably afford all the designer suits they want. But instead of leaving the athletes to make their own fashion choices, one team has teamed up Giorgio Armani so the owners can be certain that their players will always look good.The new formal outfits for Chelsea Football Club's formal functions includes a single-breasted, two-button navy blue crease resistant lightweight wool gabardine suit, with flat-front, straight-legged trousers and a fitted jacket with pronounced "Roman" shoulder line.
Sounds impressive. And, says Armani, it should be: "Today at a club like Chelsea the players are international role models and need to look the part."
Fortunately for fans of both Armani and the world-famous soccer team, the look will also be made available to the public -- though, I imagine it might be just a tad more expensive than a tracksuit in Chelsea colors.
