Do you want to look like an anime character?

Just in case you've always wanted to look like one of those anime characters with the big dreamy eyes, here's your chance:

A Korean company named DueBa makes contact lenses that makes your iris look as if someone drew it in with a big fate permanent marker. As of late, it's been really popular in Asia to walk around with the appearance of an extra from a Sailor Moon movie. Go figure?

The semi-creepy contact lenses cost $50 a pair and come in practically every color under the sun. That includes black too, ladies. So if you're looking to freak anyone out in a major way, you now have a weapon: scary eyes.

Speaking of scary eyes, have you seen eye jewelry? Check this out...

Tired of boring old earrings? Think facial piercings pase? If you're ready for a new way to bejewel your body but can't stand the thought of being traditional, here's a look for you:

Eye jewelry.

Created by UK artist Eric Lauren Beck, these odd adornments are actually hanging from contact lenses. While a little grotesque, we think these are surprisingly (and strangely!) compelling. The question is: are they cute enough to wear...or just a little too creepy?

StyleFoul: Colored contact lenses

Filed under: Accessories, Cosmetics, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

colored contact lensesIt surprises me that colored contact lenses are actually still around because I never understood the appeal back when every girl I knew was going from brown to blue to green, and back again. I mean, I certainly understood when colored contacts were say, part of a disguise or costume, and I do realize that changing one's eye color could be fun, the way changing one's hair color could be fun and fresh. However, I have always thought of hair and nails as things that could definitely take "cosmetics" to enhance one's overall look, but eye color is something permanent. It is part of your identification.

Maybe I was just traumatized by Asian girlfriends who would show up to lunch with blue eyes.
