Filed under: Stores We Love, Clothing, Vintage and Retro, Men, Celebrities with Style, Gift Guides, Must Haves

If this is wrong, we don't wanna be right. It's starting to cool down out there. As the nights get colder and our nighties get longer, as we add blankets to our beds and turn up the heat, what could be cozier than a pair of footie pajamas?

Jumpin Jammerz has you covered. They have footie pajamas for men, women, children, and soon even dogs! The designs vary from simple solid colors to colorful guitars and ducks and jet planes. Some variations come with hoods, and some come with a "drop down seat" or as you probably know it: a butt flap. A butt flap!

The Jammerz, over ten years old, have garnered a good bit of Hollywood attention:

Shoes of the day - Jeffrey Campbell Love Birds slingbacks

These slingbacks look like they're just for fun, what with the adorable bird and "feathers" on the upper, but click through the jump to see just how wearable they actually are. We like the purple and grey color scheme and we love how the bird is just abstract enough that you have to look at the shoes from the top in order to see it - from the side, it simply looks like a normal shoe. Genius!

Indie Designer Interviews: MAUstudio

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Interviews

MAUstudioI'm a big fan of all of the amazing independent designers out there. In an effort to get inside the mind of the indie designer and find out just what makes all of these creative types tick, I present to you an ongoing segment I call Indie Designer Interviews.

Today's interview is with Manyi Au, designer and owner of MAUstudio, an online boutique which offers Manyi's own adorable paper goods, stickers, buttons and cellphone charms in addition to a variety of other handmade jewelry and accessories from like-minded independent designers.

Tell us a little about yourself and your shop. I'm a graphic and web designer and have always loved making crafts since I was little. I enjoy designing fun characters to use on my stationery and accessories. I'd been wanting to start a business ever since college. The skills that I learned as a graphic designer helped me make my dream come true. MAUstudio started out as a shop to showcase my own products. After 2 years, I decided to offer my shop as an opportunity to showcase other talented indie artists and designers who share the same passion as I do.

Look cute, wear buttons

Any self-respecting indie kid knows that everything looks better when adorned with a few dime-sized buttons. The miniature fashion appendages stem from the glory days of punk, when rockers with mohawks paid homage to their favorite groups with these little badges of defiance.

Since then, they've evolved into message boards for just about anything -- usually half-assed attempts at snarkiness that you can buy in those needlessly eclectic toy stores for grown-ups. Fortunately, a new company has found a way to make the buttons cool again.

fashionPrickie has created an entire line of cute and colorful 1 inch buttons that can spruce up anything from your laptop bag to your favorite t-shirt. The best part is, they're absurdly cheap, so you can buy a bunch, and change them out to your heart's content.

Give those white earbuds something extra

The iPod's trademark white earbuds already look sleek and clean, but perhaps a few of you out there are looking to accessorize those gadget accessories. From the Pixelgirl Shop come these adorable "emotibud" earbud attachments, each featuring a different emotion.

At four pairs for $16, I personally feel that the price is a little steep for such a tiny, trivial decoration, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think about buying 'em.
