Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

paris hilton, denise richards

The Sundance Film Festival always provides plenty of drama on and off the screen. Paris Hilton and her newest BFF -- at least for the day -- Denise Richards, brought mayhem to Main Street when they stopped by the Rock Band Lounge to check out the "hospitality suite", i.e. score cool schwag.

Parajumpers Road Test

Filed under: Stores We Love, Clothing, Product Reviews

Annie Scott in a Parajumpers jacket
When Parajumpers -- named for the 210th Rescue Squadron in Anchorage, Alaska -- sent us a sample of their charming short parka, we decided to give it a test that we doubt Robert Redford, Denise Richards, or Jennifer Garner (all Parajumpers fans) did: We wore it ice skating in Minnesota.

Rock and roll breast cancer research support

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style, Must Haves

This adorably-cut, washed-out pin vintage-style tee is available from Lyric Culture ($90), and $25 from every sale goes to support City of Hope breast cancer research. The front says "I will survive" a'la Gloria Gaynor, with a lock and key design that draws on feminine symbolism and the female anatomy.

Denise Richards is a fan, saying:
"I am so excited to wear the "I will Survive" Lyric Culture tee shirt in support of Breast Cancer Research and City of Hope. Cancer research is vital in saving lives."

That may not be the most novel observation Denise has ever made, but we still like the shirt.

Lyric Culture has retro-chic line of clothing inspired by specific Motown and classic rock songs called Revolution. Some of the selections include Love Child, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, and Born to be Wild. Check out some of our favorites below!

Kitson sues for snub

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing

kitson, los angelesOne of the greatest affronts in world of celebrities and fashion isn't being defamed, maligned, having your name dragged through the mud, and being talked about in the worst possible way. No, the worse evil is to not be talked about at all. Ignored. Snubbed. Quietly set out on the curb with the opened can of smoked oysters and empty ketchup packets you had for dinner last night so no one notices.

Not too long ago, Us Weekly magazine used to rave about the Robertson Blvd. boutique, Kitson, as "L.A.'s hippest hot spot," with clientele including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Denise Richards. But it seems that the store has fallen out of favor with the magazine. Kitson's owner, Ross Fraser, is suing Us Weekly for intentionally ignoring the store on its pages. According to the LA Times, Kitson is suing because "the magazine now refuses to name or show the Kitson brand in credits, captions or celebrity photographs" and that "the lack of publicity from Us is costing the store $10,000 per week."

Well, stupid lawsuits sure are a good way to get your name back into the press.
