Selena Gomez in Nu Collective - I want that!

Selena Gomez looked dainty as a fairy at the premiere of "TinkerBell" in Hollywood. While most of her Disney counterparts (read: Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus) are currently running through a mischievous streak and have the studded, rock 'n roll wardrobe to match, Selena maintains a very girly look that perfectly compliments her age and her role model status. Kudos Selena!

Disney's newest princess is black!

Filed under: Style in the News

Princess Tiana of Disney's upcoming The Princess and the Frog is black!

Good work, Disney. We're so pleased, we're not even going to chide you for taking so long. Best of all? The story's not about the fact that she's black. That would offend us.

She's just a Disney princess who happens to be black, and it looks like she's going to have to kiss a few frogs before she finds her prince (just like the rest of us).

I want that! Miley Cyrus in Moschino

Just before Miss Miley Cyrus hosted the 2008 Teen Choice Awards in August, she wore a little blue sequined number. At the time, we despised the entire outfit. However, after seeing some more photos and carefully separating the dress from the boot, we realized we love the dress – just not with that shoe. We get it that Miley loves her some boots but shesh!

Anyhoo, back to that cute dress. With the right sandal and accessories that thing is adorable!

Annie Leibowitz gives us a live, nude Daniel Radcliffe

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Annie Leibowitz, unbowed by the continuing controversy over the nude (but really, so chaste) Miley Cyrus Vanity Fair photo, is back with more teenage skin shots!

Her latest subject is the exhibitionist Daniel Radcliffe. There are no modesty sheets for Harry Potter, he's ready for full frontal, thanks very much. With a horse. And his Uncle Vernon!

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin to become major brand

Nastia Liukin is an undeniable star. Watching gymnastics you just can't take your eyes off her. Aside from the fact that she's physically beautiful, the young girl also seems to possess a self awareness and a maturity that not every young athlete has. Sports agent, Evan Morgenstein, wants to capitalize on the public fascination with this Olympic gold medalist before it dies down.

I want that! Vanessa Hudgens entire look

Though she's a bona fide Disney star, Vanessa Hudgens certainly doesn't dress or act the virginal part. Here she is at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards in a smokin' hot Catherine Malandrino dress that she paired with a teeny black clutch and studded shoes and cuff. But her best accessory? Cutie Zac Efron.

Vanessa definitely draws her inspiration from rock n' roll chicks like Joan Jett and Kate Moss. But we love how she puts her own feminine interpretation into every look. A+.

Dress like a Jonas Brother

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style, Kids and Babies

When we were done watching Disney's Camp Rock (again!)* we couldn't help but think how totally awesome it would be if the Jonas Brothers had their own line of clothing. Then we read that The Sun had an interview with the band and that one of them, we think it was Curly, or maybe Moe, said that they were thinking about doing just that! This is where we type OMG! OMG! OMG! like over and over again.

We. Could. Just. Die. A freaking Jonas Brothers clothing line? Did we say OMG yet?

Okay, so maybe we're spreading it a bit thick. As far as teenage idols go they seem like a better option than most, and they do have a safe sense of style which we're sure parents appreciate. One thing is for sure, it could be worse.

Does this mean that Libby Lu will have to add a boy's section?

*Yes, we really watched it. It's no High School Musical, but it's cute.

Kid shows and adult clothes

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really, i.e., not jerky at all.

We were concerned about Hot Topic after seeing their latest addition, but then we realized that they still had plenty of other lines available and that most of them are pretty cool- or in the case of our featured shirt, yummy.

Disney style for more

Do you need your fix of Disney fashion, jewelry, and accessories but don't want to be stuck at Wal*Mart prices (and quality)? If you have money to spend and the mouse is your bling, than Disney Vault 28 is for you.

The store is located along the winding walkway of Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Disney Vault 28 promotes itself as the place "where hip trends collide with Disney." They're right.

It is rather high-end, given the other Disney offerings in clothing nearby, which is really saying something. However, the quality and styles involved are aimed at a different palate than your average souvenir seeking tourist. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

The Disney-themed boutique offers some of the trendiest names in haute couture such as Chip & Pepper, Paige Denim, Bejeweled, Grail, Hart & Huntington, King Baby, Red Monkey, and Mighty Fine. Basically, I don't let my kids touch anything.

Go ahead, take the virtual tour and let your inner-fashionista and your inner-child spend some time together.

Gisele's ad campaign for Disney?

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is best-known for two things: hair and boobs.

(The model once confessed she never would have made it in the fashion industry were it not for these assets. Touché!)

Nevertheless, the Brazilian bombshell stars in an upcoming advertising campaign for decidedly unsexy company: Disney. The Where the Imagination Saves the Day worldwide campaign features Annie Leibovitz photographs of Gisele dressed as Wendy from Peter Pan.

Gisele isn't the only sexy star to pose for Disney's latest marketing blitz; Scarlett Johansson, David Beckham and Beyonce also signed onto Disney-fied photos.

So lets get this straight: Gisele is Wendy; Scarlett is Cinderella; Becks is Phillipe, and Beyonce is Alice.

Is it just me or does this ad campaign seem appeal to a slighter older Disney demographic?

Help! Crocs have Taken Over Disney!

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

Pirate CrocsThe only croc I can fully accept at Disney is Captain Hook's nemesis. I can barely tolerate the normal-colored Crocs on the feet of tourists. Imagine my horror when I went to Disney World this last Saturday and found the entire place invaded by Crocs... and not just normal-ugly Crocs, but special-ugly Crocs.

For example, in the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop, I found these orangey-red and black pairs riddled with nearly unidentifiable skulls and crossbones. Then, when I stepped outside, I saw some obnoxiously colored Crocs with Mickey-shaped holes.

Oh, when will the Crocs madness end? Granted, they're super-comfortable, but Crocs, I don't know, cheapen every outfit. Keep them off if you're doing more than making a 15-minute run for milk. I have no idea how long this has been going on, but, frankly, I am appalled that Disney has allowed Crocs to infiltrate their land and spread the evil to the kiddies.

Won't someone please think of the children?!

Would you dress like a Disney princess for your wedding?

Just what you always wanted for your wedding day: to be a princess. Thanks to a new initiative from Disney, that dream could become a reality. The company has recently introduced a series of dresses fashioned after their fictional cartoon heroines.

In a Wall Street Journal interview, designer Kristie Kelly says Cinderella is "classic glamour," Snow White has "sweet elegance," Ariel from The Little Mermaid has a "sultry allure" and is "comfortable showing her body," and Jasmine from Aladdin is "bohemian chic."

I'll never be able to watch The Little Mermaid the same way again.

Would you wear Disney on your wedding day?

Celebs do Disney

The wrap bracelet is $300; other Disney Couture pieces are priced from $45 to $1,200.
