Elizabeth Hurley's switch-flipping wardrobe malfunction

Liz Hurley has worn a number of outfits we were sure would result in a panty flash or nip slip -- see the gallery below if you don't believe us. However, it was this seemingly innocent pink dress that betrayed her trust and showed her panties to a crowd of do-gooders.

Valentino film draws Hollywood's hottest

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Red Carpet Trends

A number of Hollywood's finest were joined by countless lesser-known beautiful people at the Venice Film Festival's presentation of Matt Tyrnauer's documentary, Valentino: The Last Emperor. It's only fitting that the glamorous would go the extra mile for a legend such as Valentino Garavani, and for the most part, we were not disappointed.

Elizabeth Hurley, Claire Danes, Charlize Theron, and many others showed up in style to hear Valentino's personal take on the film, such as the fact that his favorite parts of the film were, "... when I scream at Giancarlo (Giammetti)."

Elizabeth Hurley's extreme diet

Filed under: Fashionable Food, Celebrities with Style

Watch any diet commercial on television, and inevitably there will be at least one woman who says she wants to lose weight for her wedding day. That fact aside, I doubt that many other brides would be willing to undergo Elizabeth Hurley's rigorous bridal weight loss program.

The actress and model plans to marry Arun Nayer in March, so between now and then she has set her sight on a few rather drastic measures to help her fit into her Versace wedding gown. First off, Hurley has given up on eating after 4PM. But before 4PM, Hurley has decided that she will only eat egg whites, vegetables and steamed fish.

I'm just going to say it: Elizabeth Hurley is crazy if she thinks she needs to lose weight. But that gripe is really beside the point. Elizabeth Hurley is getting married -- shouldn't she be thinking more about the marriage than the size of her waistline on her wedding day?

Wedding dress mania

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Celebrities with Style

wedding dressWhen I got engaged and began the fun but overwhelming task of finding the perfect wedding dress, I got one piece of advice over and over. Women would tell me not to worry, that I would "know my dress when I found it," meaning that I would have absolutely no doubts, no second guessing, no wondering if I should visit just one more store.

Well, Elizabeth Hurley apparently does not subscribe to the traditional wedding dress advice I received. Ms. Hurley recently commissioned thirteen wedding dresses to be made for her big day, and reportedly hasn't felt a single qualm about the decision. Katie Holmes has followed suit, requesting (at last count) five dresses for her upcoming nuptials with Tom Cruise.

So what do you think? Did you "just know it" when you found your wedding dress? Or did you wish you had the option of choosing from several dresses and changing throughout the ceremony and reception?

Jordache Jeans says "modern woman" with Elizabeth Hurley

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing

jordache jeansRemember Jordache Jeans? Of course you don't! Like all of us, you were way too young to remember the designer jeans craze of the 1970s that was headed by the horse-emblazoned brand.

Jordache Jeans is re-vamping their image as a brand for the modern woman, and has picked up model-actress Elizabeth Hurley to star in print ads that will publish starting in September. Both the Jordache Vintage line, sold in high-end retail stores, and the new Jordache Legacy line, which will be sold exclusively through Macy's stores across the country, will be available this fall.

I'm just waiting for the comeback of Ooh-la-la Sasson!
