UK Ladies Shoot Up Tanning Hormones - Contraband Tans
Filed under: Skin Care
For a culture that strives to look past the color of one's skin, we sure do put a lot of emphasis on getting that perfect golden skin tone. Reportedly, the need to have that healthy sun-kissed look is so great that women (and more than a few men, we're sure) in the UK are actually turning to black market hormone injections to help achieve their desired shade.Continue reading “UK Ladies Shoot Up Tanning Hormones - Contraband Tans”

Backstage at People's Choice Awards
Filed under: Events: On the Scene

The red carpet for People's Choice Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah at the Shrine Auditorium, only had a handful of talent from 90210 and American Idol. Most award recipients only come for their five minute segment, which creates utter chaos backstage -- as Ellen Degeneres filled in for Kate Hudson (who was running late), Carrie Underwood prepared her vocal cords for the upcoming song and Christian Bale sprinted past, throwing his suitcoat over his shoulder.
Reese Witherspoon took home the award for Favorite Female Movie star and raced through the press room. On her way out the door to her limousine, she bumped into Katherine Heigl -- which was great photo op. These kinds of Quick little interactions happen throughout the entire show, so I'm always running around, tripping on wires and bumping into crew. It's absolute madness, which is why I love it!

Agyness Deyn - Most Annoying Person of 2008
We don't know why it took so long for our brethren across the pond to see Agyness Deyn in the same light that we do, but it seems the British have finally come to their senses.

The British supermodel was given the "Most Annoying Person of 2008 Award" by a BBC TV panel -- which is bad enough. But even more embarrassing is that she beat out the routinely-ridiculed Peaches Geldof for the top honors. (If you've been keeping up with Peaches' ridiculous antics, you'll know just how humiliating that truly is.)

We wonder what put Aggy over the top this year -- was it the new haircut? The tacky outfits? Did she ignore too many friend requests on Facebook? Whatever the reason, it's about time! This girl has been working our nerves for ages.
