Samsonite plus SwarovskiEvery once in a while, a product so outrageously extravagant and loud comes out that it boggles the mind that anyone would purchase it, braving the fiery death glares that they will surely face from strangers. A team-up between Samsonite and Swarovski have come up with such a product... Behold, the Samsonite Black Label trunk, covered in crystals and -- get this -- only 30 are in existence. Now, this thing is massive, so there's no way to subtly flash it like it's darling diamond earrings hiding under your hair until you pull it up. This thing is immediately and absolutely in-your-face and begging to be kicked over and smashed in a jealous rampage.

Jessica Simpson entering a dress deal

Yes indeed, folks, it's another celebrity designer -- Jessica Simpson has entered into a deal to begin a line of contemporary dresses under the Jessica Simpson label. We can plan to see the first items next spring, but the full collection won't be out until Fall 2009.

The details of the dress line are still being worked out, so we don't know exactly what the prices will be. However, the dresses will be a contemporary style at a young contemporary price point, sold at better department stores and specialty stores nationwide, and meant to complement to the other collections under the singer's name -- she currently has footwear, swimwear, handbags, eyewear, outerwear, and jewelry stamped with her name. And don't tell anyone, but we kind of love some of her shoes. Shhhh.

Decorating for your Kentucky Derby party
