Star Trek inspired corset on EtsyWow, this corset really takes the Star Trek fetish thing to a whole new and awesome level. According to the seller, the monument of geek chic lingerie is modeled after the jumpsuits from Star Trek: The Next Generation -- if you're a real Trekkie, you'll know the difference. We don't. Self-defense stilettos

When we heard about Self-Defense Stilettos, we have to admit that we got really excited. We pictured shoes with a James Bond-esque component, like a button to shoot pepper spray out of the heel or a hidden compartment in the platform for a stun gun or something.

Etsy for the naughty

CorsetsSuper-amazing alternative blog Coilhouse loves Etsy, the online extra-supermarket for all things handmade, just as much as we do. While we were distracted by the full-sequined tea cozies or bizarre dog-hair sweaters (we don't actually know if those exist, but we wouldn't be surprised), Coilhouse compiled this handy post called "The Pervert's Guide to Etsy." It's just as it sounds, really, so it's not for the faint-of-heart or anyone that has very solid pre-conceived notions of hipster goods.

Looking at the list, we can dig what's going on. Yeah, we're hip (is it hip to use "hip" these days?), and despite the fact that latex isn't our first -- or second or third -- choice for breathable fabric, we can appreciate the naughtier side of this seemingly innocent corner of the Internet world. As for the fanny pack, there aren't enough sexy ruffles in the world to tempt us, as long as the words "fanny" and "pack" are involved.

Wrangler: Find your inner animal

Here in the States, Wrangler's image can basically be summed up by cowboy hats and barbeque stains, or cornbread and chicken, or whatever two rural items you want to throw together. Septic tanks and incest -- see how that works?

In Europe, however, the dream of growing up to rope and ride has apparently lost its luster. So, in an attempt to make Wrangler jeans more relevant to the youth of Europe, but still not lose the brand's earthy past, Parisian ad agency has produced this obnoxiously European, avante garde, and confusingly non-macho Wrangler commercial.

Trend alert: butt crack couture

Filed under: Style in the News, Swimwear and Lingerie

Not all that long ago, butt crack fashion was only popular among hip hop circles, prison gangs, and members of a certain profession dealing with pipes and drains. Now, butt cleavage is apparently working its way to the top of the female fashion hierarchy -- right next to traditional cleavage. So, move over whale-tail, the next big movement in 21st century raunchy couture is all about the beauty of the extreme lower back.

As low rise jean keep migrating down the hips, it seems that lingerie designers are starting to explore the cheap thrill of assless fashion. More and more, we're starting to see panties with these risqué butt windows. From Alexander McQueen's expeditions into uncharted low-rise territory, to Heidi Klum's butt-crack dress last winter-- it seems that the fashion world has become addicted to crack. You might even call it the fashion fetish of our time, but we think it's a little too early to tell.
