Let me explain why dressing up as a Flapper from the Roaring '20s is an awesome idea for this Halloween:
- The costume is sexy without being slutty.
- You could probably put this together without having to go to costume store because you might have everything already. (Who doesn't have a rainbow of feather boas in her closet?)
- The Modern Day Flapper is a hot look right now anyway so you can buy good pieces (not cheap costume-y pieces) and wear them again through the season.
You just need to slip into a slightly longer spaghetti-strap tank dress with a slim, straight silhouette, accessorize with long strands of pearls or other necklaces, put on a pair of matching T-strap shoes, and the only things you might have to buy or make are a headband with feather or jeweled adornments and a feather boa.
Of course, you can also
buy the costume right out off the shelf, like the one shown.
