Lauren Conrad Closes Designer Line

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

More changes are in the works for Lauren Conrad! First she decided to leave The Hills, which pretty much kills the show -- without Lauren, it's just not the same. Now Perez is reporting that she's also shutting down her line of designer duds.

The Look of Lauren Conrad

She may have shot to fame on MTV's Laguna Beach, but with her brand-new fashion line, Lauren Conrad has become a style star in her own right. Here, LC hits the Late Show with David Letterman in one of her own designs to promote the bonus season of The Hills. LC revealed to Dave that she and ex-BFF Heidi Montag will "probably not" patch things up. Juicy!

The reality star wore an ikat print Jenny Packham sundress to the Cloverfield premiere in L.A.

At a 2007 Grammy kick-off party, Conrad opted for a red, ruffled mini with plunging neckline. Her bag of choice? A self-designed clutch for Linea Pelle. (Yes, she also designs her own line of handbags.)

LC partied in a white shimmery Mint by Jodie Arnold dress at Las Vegas' Tryst Nightclub to help celebrate the new Virgin America Airline.

Conrad stole the show at US Weekly's Hot Hollywood party in 2007 in a neon beaded Jenny Packman dress.

Conrad chose a shimmery 1920's-inspired shift dress from her own collection for the 2007 Video Music Awards. LC admits that her love of fashion started years before The Hills. "When I was six, my neighbor taught me to paint and draw. We would sew and make clothes for my Barbie doll," she explains. Her favorite designers? Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs.

LC wore one of her own creations when she picked up a trophy at the 2007 Teen Choice Awards. This cute teal bubble dress was a "one-of-a-kind that I designed specifically to wear to the Teen Choice Awards," explains Conrad. She paired it with a skinny vintage belt and Jimmy Choo metallic heels.

Stopping by MTV's TRL to chat about The Hills and her brand new fashion line, Conrad looked chic in a navy blue bubble dress from her line.

Denim on the red carpet is a do! A casual Conrad looks chic and put together in dark skinny jeans and a flowing lemon top at the Mobile TV Party in L.A.

Who's that girl? Conrad got rave reviews at the 2007 MTV Awards for her glamorous, white chiffon Pamella Roland gown, sleek ponytail and sparkly accessories.

Folded in two seconds

Filed under: Clothing, Vintage and Retro, Videos, Style Tip of the Day

If you're like us, and we hope for your sake that you aren't, you are always on the lookout for good time-saving steps. We have found one for you, or maybe just us- you decide.

The above video explains how anyone can fold a t-shirt in just 2-seconds. Yes, by spending two minutes of your life watching the clip you too can fold like the wind in no time (not to be confused with watching a two minute clip on Emmanuel Goldstein). Follow the simple steps of pinch and release and you should make those two minutes up by 2011.

If the only thing keeping you from this wonderful time-saver is a lack of t-shirts to fold then you need look no further than here, here, and of course, here.

Now, watch and fold. Time is of the essence.

Fold your shirts quickly and perfectly with cardboard

I'm pretty particular about the way I fold my shirts, and it usually takes me a minute or two to either get it right, or just give up and throw it in the closet. But here in this video you see that with a few scraps of cardboard and a little effort, folding your shirts can be quite simple. Then again, it seems a little over the top to actually construct something like this just to fold shirts.

If you do end up actually building a replica of this ingenious cardboard contraption, please let me know (and send pictures of it). And if something like this truly interests you, but you're not exactly crafty, then check out the $10.99 Perfect Fold Garment Folder over at Amazon.com and save yourself some trouble.
