Hot new accessory gives men a buzz in all the right places

Every now and again I stumble upon an accessory so ingenious, so visionary, that I'm forced to scream aloud: "Holy crap! Why didn't someone think of that before?"

This brings me to the Vibra Exciter -- an unblushing amplification of the pleasurable experience that is a cell phone buzzing in your pocket.

You've undoubtedly heard of phone charms -- the little bits of mobile phone bling that generally adorn the cells of junior high school students. However, this new addition to the cell phone accessory market is definitely not for kids. Those of you with dirty minds have probably guessed from the photo that the Vibra Exciter goes around a guy's you-know-what, so that when the phone buzzes it's...a very nice surprise.

The only problem is: how would you answer it? I can't imagine experiencing that, er, sensation while I was walking down the street, only to then have to reach into my pants to take a call. Though let's be honest, would you really want to stop the phone from buzzing by picking up?

Have romantic picnics at night with the LED blanket

It's summer -- which should be a great time for being outdoors, having picnics, etc. -- but if you happen to live in a part of the country where temperatures normally top 100 degrees in July and August, there's no way you'll have a good time if you try and host a picnic.

Unless you do it at night, that is.

Normally, this might be an issue -- namely because it helps to see your food when you're trying to eat it -- but thanks to this luminescent little blanket, all your problems are solved. Using LED lights, the blanket can illuminate a large surface, so there's no need to bring flashlights, lamps, or any other bulky camping gear to year next romantic, night-time picnic. Plus, it's water resistant, and has a hard center to prevent spillage.

But the best part, is that you don't have to buy it -- you can make your own. Your friends at instrucables.com have posted the directions here. Have fun!

The wait for a Prada phone begins

Filed under: Style in the News

Prada has already made a foray into electronics with that sexy pink laptop but now they will be getting into the phone business too. Prada has partnered with LG to create a new cellphone. Instead of just adding a logo and some doodads to an existing phone they will be creating a new design which will have an "advanced touch interface" instead of a keypad. The software, user interface and overall design will come from Prada. The phone is going to launch in Europe at the start of next year and then head to Asia but alas, no U.S. release date has been set yet.
