We love all of the amazing gift ideas at Kir DeVries. They've got so many great eco-friendly gift options like stainless steel water bottles, reusuable bags for grocery shopping and produce, and cute lunch boxes and totes, not to mention cool stuff for the home and clothing and accessories for men, women and kids. We're already in the process of setting up a gift registry on their site to forward to friends & family as a hint about our own holiday wish list.

An international spotlight is shining on Barcelona based designer Cecilia Sorensen. Her "feminine, clean, and wearable," collections are, get this, recycled from men's shirts, blazers, waist coats, and antique sheets. Have you heard of anything cooler, ever? We didn't think so!

Nugaard Designs is the passionate enterprise of Brazilian born friends and business partners Alessandra Feio and Erica Pacey. These ladies combine a talent for creating stunning jewelry with a lifelong passion for fashion and a love of their homeland. In addition to maintaining environmentally conscious practices in the extraction of the many natural materials used in their designs, including leaves and golden grass native to Brazil, Alessandra and Erica are also mindful about going green in their offices and with their business travel as well.

We'd like to introduce you to Raiquel Cole, CEO of Amourai Organique, a company specializing in all-natural beauty and hair products. Their shampoos and conditioners are free of harmful toxic chemicals like sulfates and parabens, and instead contain natural and organic ingredients to moisturize, strengthen and protect hair. We caught up with Raiquel to find out more about her company's mission and how she got started.

Marjorie Cunningham has the answer with her unique handcrafted jewelry made from recycled shards of broken china and porcelain.

Green actress Maggie Gyllenhaal sported the eco-chic line The Battalion at the recent GenArt SOYJOY fashion show in NYC. Although it is you're typically little black dress paired with tights, booties, and belt, what killed it was the silhouette. That beautifully draped skirt is so modern and works with so many body types. Swoon!

We doubt anybody is unaware that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but did you know that it's also Fair Trade Month? Cat brought us the scoop last week on Pangea Collection's fabulous Sterling Silver Heart Bracelet -- for every one purchased, $10 will go toward breast cancer research. But Pangea is doing more.

Throughout this entire month, Pangea Collection will donate $1 from any Fair Trade Jewelry order to Opportunity International, one of the largest micro-finance organizations supporting Fair Trade in the world. We consider reading Us Weekly "getting up to date on the news" and "part of our job." However, we don't usually take our fashion cues from the gossip magazine. This week we are experiencing an odd about face, and find ourselves agreeing that green eyeliner is absolutely appealing and necessary.

During the spring and summer we were all about the vivid neon blues and teals. Now that there is a crispness to the air, we're ready to do something a little different with our makeup, but we want to keep the fun of all that color. Green eyeliner seems to be the magic bullet.
