Indian Man has Ear Hair Long Enough to Braid

Filed under: Men, Hair Cut and Style

Someone please get this man a Sharper Image ear and nose hair trimmer, and quick. Radhakant Bajpai, the record holder for the world's longest ear hair since 2003, has announced that his hideous ear locks(?) have sprouted to the 10 inch mark. Sure, he might be the male version on Sheyla Hershey -- the woman who recently supersized her rack to size 38KKK -- but Bajpai knows more than anyone about which shampoos keep your sensitive ear hair silky and smooth. He uses a specialty blend herbal haircare product.

Luxury Grooming with the The '63R Series Razor'

The '63R Series RazorIt's about time men got a chance to have some fun with their grooming products. Luxury grooming pioneer, John Allan has come out with "The 63R Series Razor." Sounds more like a car than a razor doesn't it? That's because the big-bad-muscle cars of the 1960s inspired this high-end razor.

This razor isn't one of those wimpy lightweight razors that you can find in the drugstores. The "Razor" is heavier, which is crucial for getting the perfect shave. Razors that are too light and flimsy causes you to push too hard on the skins surface which doesn't get you a quality shave.

The "63R Series Razor" would make an excellent gift because lets face it, you probably can't afford to get your man a car but a razor modeled after a car, you may be able to swing that. There are only 1,000 of these limited-edition razors available so you have to act fast. This luxury grooming product can be purchased at Barney's New York, John Allan's Club or online at JohnAllans.com for $195.

Porn star moustache: New trend alert?

Filed under: Men, Celebrities with Style

Starting last spring, I noticed the hipster guys around town were shaping their facial fuzz like...well...porn stars. It was a rough time for the fashion-forward set -- we'd been stuck in a seemingly endless 80s revival, and the obsessively stylish were trying anything to break out of the mold. I figured it was a brief, ill-advised foray into alternative grooming that'd quickly be forgotten.

Until today. Word on the street is Pete Wentz, bassist for Fall Out Boy and boyfriend to Ashlee Simpson is sporting an adult movie star motif above his upper lip. Gross!

Guys: I'm pleading with you, let this one blow over. Grow a full beard, grow a goatee, go clean shaven -- anything! If you shape your 'stache like some douche bag from the 70s, I will judge you -- a lot.

At home manicure with Japonesque

Filed under: Holiday Style, Skin Care

Japonesque Manicure Set
Here is a little something that only the people closest to me know.

My nails are busted, like, all the time. I am not a manicure girl; in fact my best friend once told me that my hands are "fit for digging."

Pretty harsh, huh?

Occasionally -- like once a year -- I will shock people and get a manicure at a salon. Why so seldom you ask? I fear disease so naturally I have assumed that I will pick up something nasty and lose a finger at a nail salon. My manicures need to be done in a clean environment, my house.

Good thing I just got this handy kit from Japonesque, which has everything I need for a manicure. These quality stainless steel tools are inside a protective case (mine is red) that opens up for easy access to your tools. The kit includes nail clippers, cuticle scissors, tweezers, nail nippers, and a combo tool that files, scoops and grooms.

The first step for me is figuring out what all of that stuff does and the second step is actually using them. Wish me luck!

At home brow grooming

Filed under: Hair Care, Celebrities with Style

anastasia limited edition eyebrow grooming kitLet's face it waxing can be a drag. It's not the pain that gets me -- I actually enjoy that part -- it's everything leading up the waxing that is painful. Finding the time in the day to schedule an appointment, driving across town to go to the salon, and don't even get me started on the money. So it's always nice to have a cheaper at home alternative to getting lovely brows.

At home eyebrow grooming can be a dangerous thing without the proper tools. If you aren't careful you can walk away with uneven and over-plucked brows, which are mistakes that take time to grow back. That is why eyebrow waxer to the stars, Anastasia, has created a line that helps you achieve professional results at home.

I had been eying Anastasia's products for some time at my local Sephora. The thought of not having to be a slave to the salon was quite appealing. What wasn't appealing was the price tag on Anastasia's kit. Her most popular kit for $75 includes; tweezers, brow powder, four brow stencils, duo angle brush, brow gel, and a highlighting pencil. Sure, that seems like a lot of stuff, but what I really wanted was the stencils and a great pair of tweezers.

So today when I opened my Sephora Insider's email I was delighted to see a brand new limited edition kit from Anastasia for only $45. The kit includes a pair of tweezers, miniature scissors, and four stencils all in an adorable case – perfection.

I tested out the kit this evening and was pleased as punch. Since this kit didn't have the brow powder, I simply used a bit of white eye shadow and plucked and snipped the areas that weren't "shadowed". I will admit I did get a little pluck happy and now have a tiny bald spot, but it was nothing a little brow filler couldn't fix.

Practice definitely makes perfect with any at home brow grooming, but I do believe that this will help cut down on my visits to the salon.

For dudes who shave their back hair

Not that I would ever admit to needing one of these, but -- hypothetically speaking -- if I wanted to shave a little man fur off my shoulders and/or back, I'd use this.

Called the iShave, the difference between this razor and your trusty 'ol Mach 3, is that it extends up to 24 inches. That way you can avoid rotating your arm into all sorts of weird and unnatural positions -- or worse: asking for help -- just to get that last little patch in between your shoulder blades. (Hypothetically speaking, of course.)

While it's a little embarrassing to talk about, what's worse is actually having the hair in the first place. So look on the bright side, for a mere $29.95, you can get yourself an iShave, and never have that problem again.

Beautify your beau for Valentine's Day

Filed under: Accessories, Men, Skin Care

men's grooming stuffI know we've just barely gotten though the Holidays and the New Year, but how can I help thinking about Valentine's Day when stores are shoving pink and red hearts in my face?

While it's easy to grab some decadent truffles and anything small and sparkly for the ladies on Valentine's Day, it's a little tougher to pick up something that says "I Love You" for men. Over on ThisNext.com, bloggerina Kristopher Dukes points to a few good things to make your beau beautiful on Valentine's Day, including the Urth Travel Kit, Clinique's Post-shave Healer, and the Light Horn Shaving Set from the Grooming Lounge (shown).
