Why aren't you wearing this? Paper Route Hat

When you wake up and don't feel like putting too much effort into your hair, what's your go-to? Do you pull it into a ponytail? Braid it down the back? Throw on a baseball cap, and call it a day? These options are all just fine, but we'd like to see you incorporate a hat like this Paper Route Hat ($38 at Anthropologie) into your routine.

This gives you a much more fashion-forward look than a baseball cap while providing the same benefits -- covering up undone hair. You can wear it down, straight or in waves, or pull it back into a low pony -- even a side pony, if you're so inclined.

We've said it before, and we'll say it again -- we love wearing hats. We like baseball caps, fedoras, berets, you name it. They're a fantastic way to add a little something to an outfit without cluttering up the look.

Additionally, the right hat can take you effortlessly from summer to fall, which is how we plan to use this Cable Knit Cabbie hat. It's only $8.80 at Forever 21, so even if you get just a few uses out of it this season, your cost per wear is low, and we think that once you have this hat in your possession, you'll find plenty of ways to wear it.

As much as we hate to admit, fall is around the corner and we have to start thinking about hats. Though we aren't a huge fan of the cold, it does mean that we can sport these cute, classic hats for a few seasons.

Though each of these styles has definitely seen their fair share of "trendy" times, they have risen above as the cream on top and have stayed classic hat icons for decades now.

If your head is shaped like a lampshade, the hat will look like this on you. Okay. We all know that some of the mannequins on which we've seen hats displayed on eBay are kinda scary. Remember this one? It totally gave us nightmares.

Well, eBay seller Staceylynn61 has found a solution: Put the hats on lampshades.

Here we have a very unusual hat. It's a straw hat with a tuft of yellow fur on the top. We don't know what the furry spot is made of. It looks rather like chocobo.

We don't know about you, but right now, we're getting hit with some serious humidity. Not the kind of humidity that, with a bit of mousse, gives our hair volume -- the kind of humidity that makes us feel like we're stepping into a sauna every time we go outside.

When we have to spend a bit of time outdoors in the summer, we like to safeguard our hair. Sometimes, that means product. Sometimes, it means a headband. For the really humid days, though, we've got to go with a hat.
