When cultural flavor is thrown into the mix in fashion, we almost always love the end results. Designers paying tribute to their heritage is a beautiful thing. Joseph Font, of Spain, has done just that with the Fall-Winter 2009 Haute Couture collection he showed today in Paris.

Madness! Total madness! We adore Jean-Paul Gaultier's sense of creativity. His 2009 haute couture show was like a fashion circus! It's always fun to see clothes that no human being in his/her right mind would ever wear. But, hey, isn't that what it's all about?

Haute couture shows used to be only for the eyes of the fashion elite, but thanks to the wonders of the internet, now we're all able to enjoy the glorious fashion that comes down the runway. Givenchy showed their Fall-Winter 2009 Haute Couture collection this week and the clothes were pretty sweet!

Yes, the fashion and celebrity world are still intrinsically linked. Major designers never fail to bring out major A-listers. For Paris Fashion Week '09 Haute Couture, Dior, of course, was a heavy hitter.

No, this post is about another cool way to get chic and ethical clothing: buying vintage.

Do you need your fix of Disney fashion, jewelry, and accessories but don't want to be stuck at Wal*Mart prices (and quality)? If you have money to spend and the mouse is your bling, than Disney Vault 28 is for you.

The store is located along the winding walkway of Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Disney Vault 28 promotes itself as the place "where hip trends collide with Disney." They're right.

It is rather high-end, given the other Disney offerings in clothing nearby, which is really saying something. However, the quality and styles involved are aimed at a different palate than your average souvenir seeking tourist. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

The Disney-themed boutique offers some of the trendiest names in haute couture such as Chip & Pepper, Paige Denim, Bejeweled, Grail, Hart & Huntington, King Baby, Red Monkey, and Mighty Fine. Basically, I don't let my kids touch anything.

Go ahead, take the virtual tour and let your inner-fashionista and your inner-child spend some time together.

Next time you're heading out in the rain, or just want a little shade on an especially sunny day, why not consider this, er, unique hat from Valentino? It'd definitely keep you dry, and, best of all, it looks like a flying saucer -- what more could you want? OK, maybe the fact that you can't see while you're wearing it is a small problem (speaking of that, how did this model make it down the runway without crashing to her death?).

The odd piece of enormous headgear was part of Valentino's Haute Couture runway show in Paris last week. Couture, if you're not familiar with it, is to fashion what modern art is to painting (sometimes it's good for inspiration, other times it's just weird) -- so rest assured, gargantuan, alien-spaceship style hats won't be showing up on store shelves anytime soon.

But you know, cut out some holes for the eyes, and maybe this would work -- albeit in a Scientology kinda way. What do you think?
