Tween Brothers Close Lemonade Stand, Launch Fragrance Company

Brothers Kai and Kalani were homesick for their native Hawaii after moving to the mainland. They were afraid that they would lose their sweet and warm island memories, so they asked their mom if they could make "their own cologne that smells like sunshine."

And just like that, Maoli Perfumes was born.

Kate Bosworth in Chloe - I want that!

Kate BosworthThough we are pretty sure that Kate Bosworth looks amazing in anything, we really love her best when she's scrubbed her face clean and made her outfit as minimal as possible. Case in point, her low-key Chloe look at the Blackberry Bold launch in Los Angeles.

Owen Wilson - moving to solar powered community in Hawaii

Filed under: Haute Home, Celebrities with Style

Owen Wilson is joining his buddy Woody Harrelson in Hawaii. And they're not just going to sip Mai Tai and surf. Oh no! They're going to conserve while they sip Mai Tais and surf!

After visiting Woody at his completely solar powered, sustainable community featuring organic farming on Maui, Owen has decided to score his own place in the development.

Following his, shall we say rocky year, Owen is definitely in need of some serenity and we hope he finds it. Really, how bad can it be? Sand, surf, coconut-scented air? Plus the smug satisfaction that only 100% green living can give you. Sounds like paradise to us!

We're looking forward to seeing the green incarnation of Owen's style. Will he go full-hemp like Woody? Or take a more activist approach like Leonardo?

Ash Francomb makes sunny t-shirts

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Celebrities with Style

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

Ash Francomb is a self-described "sunny" boutique. What does this mean? Are solar panels involved? Not that we know of. However, we have a theory that the sunshine is in the shirts, figuratively. All of the prints are modern takes on vintage design and they promote "passion for adventure, the ocean, nature, and music into visual art meant to inspire their fans to 'live life like a road trip' and to travel the globe in search of endless summers and memories that will last a lifetime..."

Tip of the day: Packing your beachbag

Filed under: Handbags, Accessories, Style in the News, Clothing, Swimwear and Lingerie, Skin Care, Books, Style Tip of the Day

At the risk of sounding a little bit nutso, we definitely think there is an art to packing the ultimate beach bag. If you can pack it up with essentials and still keep it light, then you've got the knack.

Pidgen Orange: Hawaiian flavor for the pigeon lover

Who doesn't love pigeons- besides statues, New Yorkers and all the cars in the Styledash parking lot? They're curious, love homemade croutons, and taste like chicken.

Oh, who are we kidding? The only lovers of pigeons we know are Bert and our grandpa. No, our grandpa is not Ernie.

From Red Carpet to Your Closet: Kristen Bell at the Forgetting Sarah Marshall Premiere

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Celebrities with Style

Kristen Bell looks ready for a luau in this Hawaiian-print maxi dress at the Forgetting Sarah Marshall premiere. And, yes, this might not be our number one choice for a red carpet outfit normally, but since the movie is set in Hawaii, we're going to go ahead and give her a pass.

Plus, she's really pulling off a look that could have looked like she chose to wear a shower curtain, so take a look through the gallery to see how she's making this work.

Jack Johnson sings in summertime style

Filed under: Accessories, Clothing, Shoes, Vintage and Retro, Swimwear and Lingerie, Celebrities with Style, Green Fashion

I'm so ready for summer. Winter is all fun and games until the holidays are over, and then it's just cold and crappy for no reason (other than scientific). I'm ready to spend my days wearing shorts and flip-flops with my toes in the sand and a drink in my hand. I want to be warm.

Enter the music of Jack Johnson. I bought his new CD, Sleep Through the Static, and I have officially put winter behind me (my back is to the door).

I could go on and on about the "greeness" of Jack. The album is sold in sleeves made from recycled materials and was recorded using 100% solar energy. Take that Amp. However, as awesome as that it, I'm not writing to share the effects on my conscience, but rather the thawing of my soul. You can use that if you want.

Jack Johnson
is the soundtrack to summertime. It's hard to listen to his music without skipping right to bikini season. I want to fill an ice chest with beer and invite some friends over to sit in the yard and laugh about our kids and our lives. It's a good feeling.

What does this have to do with style you ask? Everything, my friends, everything.

Michael Kors goes Hawaiian

Designer fragrances sometimes leave me cold but I'm a fan of the Michael Kors fragrances especially the original one, Michael. Its combination of warm floral and oriental notes make me feel feminine without feeling like I'm doused in flowers. I wasn't quite as thrilled with his Island fragrance which to me, was a bit like Davidoff's Cool Water but I'm very eager to check out his new one Michael Kors Hawaii. The scent has top notes of clementine and neroli, middle notes of ginger lily and jasmine sambac and a sandalwood and amber base. Sounds like the recipe for a burst of tropical scent for a cold winter day. It sells for $60.
