Looks like the Crocs haters have finally gotten through to the company that brought the garden clog into mainstream fashion (and, as far as we're concerned, contributed to the downfall of civilization at the same time). Crocs has started a new line, YOU by Crocs, which is designed to appeal to those who are both fashion conscious and in need of a comfortable shoe. But, as we've already mentioned, we're not buying.

When we fall for a designer shoe, we fall hard. The sumptuous two-toned kicks from the Paris-based Erotokritos have been haunting our dreams, and making us consider an investment in patent and suede sexiness.

No matter how many of her black and white films we see on AMC or glance over the tons of iconic images featuring her signature deep eye brows and drawn on lips, there's only one thing that comes to our mind when we think of film legend Joan Crawford: "No wire hangers ever!"

Seeing purple everywhere for fall has somehow invaded our brain and now we can't stop thinking about purple suede boots.

Even though they are completely impractical for the San Francisco winter rains we are sure to experience, we're so tempted to get a pair to wear on the rare clear day. They are dressy yet can go casual, and make a very definite fashion statement: Fear Not Color On Your Feet!

Not all fashionistas wear heels, but we doubt any stylish woman's eyes don't light up a little when she sees a really beautiful stiletto. Really high heels are really a work of art -- as is walking in them. But, that's not stopping women around the world from reaching for heels that have half a foot or more of height.

Like it or not, ankle boots are big this season. Really big. You're going to see massive numbers of women wearing them with short skirts and dark tights, so really, you might as well join the crowd.

We never thought we'd say this, but you NEED a pair of red patent heels with purple suede trim. Shoes, shoes and more glorious shoes! The best part about fashion week for us isn't the glamorous clothes or the celebritiy sightings -- it's the footwear.

Sky high wooden platforms, wedges that are more artwork than they are shoes, bold colored purses in the shape of lunchboxes, big bauble necklaces in bright blue and pink -- the Just Cavalli show in Milan Fashion Week truly had some amazing clothes, but the little details stole the limelight.

Who knew a baby shoe could cause such an uproar? Heelarious is a new brand of baby shoes designed to look like a high heel -- and while some people think it's cute and funny, others are really disturbed.

We find it quite amusing -- after all, if the kid isn't even on her feet yet, aren't shoes in general slightly superfluous? And, if you're a well-known shoe lover, we think your friends would appreciate the humor of buying your daughter baby heels. If not, are you sure you really want to hang out with them? Because we sure don't.
