Okay, there aren't any hooks, or even amputees, but something about this video of Helena Christensen -- in what we believe are leather garters -- simply screams "Pirate!" Sexy Pirate, that is.

It's probably the Adam and the Ants jacket, plus the sword, plus the red lace pasties someone is "wearing." And the pirate music certainly adds something to the buccaneer ambiance.

And we mustn't forget the panties made of black silk ribbons. Yes, this clip for the new Agent Provocateur Pirate lingerie line is a regular sexy pirate stew. Pure perfection for all you current and former lingerie models who want to enjoy Halloween year-round!

We have to admit, as sexy as this little video is, the longer version on the Agent Provocateur site is...wow. it's sort of interactive. And Helena, at 39, totally still has it.

In days when cougars run rampant, there may not be a hotter kitty than Helena Christensen. To prove her point, Helena recently told TMZ paparazzi that she looks better half naked now than she did 17 years ago in Chris Issac's iconic "Wicked Games" video.

There were dozens of celebrities wearing amazing gowns at the Metropolitan Opera's opening gala. Everybody looked like a million bucks. But, one person in particular stood out to us, and not necessarily in the best way. Taylor Momsen might want to think about toning down her image -- the girl is 15 for pete's sake and crying out loud! And she looks like she's 25, at least.

Would you pay $30,000 for Bono's, um, trash?

One man's trash is another man's...well, you get it. But $30,000 seems a little excessive for a wastebasket, no?

This week Danish supermodel Helena Christensen held a star-studded auction that raised over $50,000 for Food Bank For New York City and Chernobyl Children's Project International. The highlight of the evening was the live auction of a custom Vipp (the venerable Danish design company) bin by U2 frontman Bono which sold for--yes--$30K.

But, get this: Inside the "circular file" are unpublished lyrics from U2's upcoming album, including a tribute to Nelson Mandela on this 90th birthday. Hello!! Talk about a good investment. I asked Helena how she convinced Bono to donate something so valuable. "I got him drunk," she laughed.

Other participants in the auction included REM's Michael Stipe, Julianne Moore, Christy Turlington, Mena Suvari, and Frederic Fekkai.

Triumph Inspiration Award - dreamy lingerie

Sure, the Victoria Secret fashion show has all of those supermodels, but it's sort of sanitized sexiness. Plus you know that everything in the show will eventually turn up a mall near you, piled on a table next to a pyramid of "Pink-scented" lotion.

If you want creativity and adventure in your underwear, you have to check out the new Triumph Inspiration Awards. An international design competition for students, this year the theme was Female Fascination. Designers from 31 countries participated and the judges included supermodel Helena Christensen, Dutch designers Viktor & Rolf, and noted sexy photographer Ellen von Unwerth.

Helena Christensen for Playboy?

Yes, the rumors are true, but don't think for a minute that you are going to see a completely nude spread eagle Helena. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but the Playboy spread is going to be tasteful and artistic.

The 38-year-old former supermodel Helena Christensen will be posing for a French Playboy shoot with famed photographer Paolo Reversi. Helena says (with a smile) that the shoot will be "done in 70's-style, so it's really all about the innocence and playfulness of it!"

Interesting, I believe even in the 70's Playboy was never really innocent. I suppose we will have to see it to believe it.
