Fergie Gets Photoshopped and Feathered

Celebrity Fashion Ads

Fergie for M.A.C.'s VIVA GLAM collection
Fabulous, feathered, and just a little airbrushed.

    MAC Cosmetics

    Katie and Posh's Dueling Ads
We know it's tough to tell the difference, but that's Katie Holmes on the left for Miu Miu and Victoria Beckham baring (nearly) all for Giorgio Armani. The campaigns launched within days of one another -- so the question is: who's hotter?

    Miu Miu/Armani

    Madonna for Louis Vuitton
Anyone else tired of the trademark Madonna crotch shot?

    Louis Vuitton

    Kirsten Dunst for Miu Miu
We prefer Katie Holmes, hands down.

    Miu Miu

    Heidi Klum for Jordache
The jean company was apparently trying to target the "hot mom" demographic.

    Jordache

    Kate Moss for Agent Provocateur
Arguably the iconic lingerie maker's most famous star.

    Kate Moss

    Liv Tyler for Gap
The actress helped boost the fledgling brand as it tried to overhaul its image.

    Liv Tyler

    Maggie Gyllenhaal for Agent Provocateur
No stranger to seduction, the Secretary star was stunning in this sexy lingerie.

    Maggie Gyllenhaal

    Eva Mendes for Calvin Klein
The TV ads for this campaign are so racy that they were banned in the US (and then subsequently made famous on the Internet).

    Eva Mendes

    Scarlet Johansson for Louis Vuitton
Is there ever a moment when ScarJo doesn't look absolutely gorgeous?

    Louis Vuitton

We already know Fergie loves cosmetics by M.A.C. -- after all, it's the brand she chose to wear for her recent wedding. But, M.A.C. also loves Fergie -- she's the current face of their VIVA GLAM collection, and the ads show a fabulously feathered Fergie. And, unless M.A.C. does a better job at hiding flaws than we thought, there was a wee bit of airbrushing going on, too.

The shots, as you can see in the gallery, are sexy and surreal (and kind of makes us wish we had occasion to wear feathered corsets). And as hot as the photos are, they weren't taken strictly to garner attention for the VIVA GLAM line -- she's promoting a limited edition cosmetic for the company to help HIV/AIDS Awareness charities. The singer hopes this will help educate her fans about the dangers of the disease.

You know, we'd like to be all upset about the photoshopping being done here -- she's a beautiful woman wearing a ton of makeup to begin with -- but we think we're just becoming numb. And the fact is, if they hadn't airbrushed her, somebody would probably be writing about the fact that she didn't look like a dewy 20 year old. We're just going to focus on where to get one of those feathered numbers.

I want that! Yellow Ralph Lauren gown

Kelly Roland looks picture perfect in this eye popping dress by Ralph Lauren at Alicia Key's party, the Black Ball UK in London, which benefited the "Keep a Child Alive" HIV/AIDS charity.

Though this dress is quiet fancy here, we just couldn't help ourselves. Kelly looks gorgeous in the color and we can never, ever, ever get enough of Ralph Lauren's simple yet elegant clothes. To us, Ralph Lauren clothes are like sugar because you can mix it into anything you want. This dress would look equally as good with a pair of jeweled flats in St. Tropez. Fan.tas.tic.

And there's the always beautiful Alicia, seemingly dressed down at her own event but plugging her Obama support nontheless. Go B.O.!

Naomi snubbed at Mandela b-day party

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style, Style for a Cause

Ouch
. Supermodel or not, you hock a loogie on a cop at Heathrow, you have to deal with some ugly fallout. Campbell -- who was slated to emcee a portion of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert -- was pulled when the legendary activist figure personally requested that she not be allowed to take the stage in London's Hyde Park.

We didn't know this, but apparently the supermodel was wearing a ball cap with '46664' (as in 46664 Concerts) embroidered on it at the time of her loogie arrest. That also happens to be the prison ID# Mandela wore for his 27 years on the inside.

The relationship between the supermodel and the human rights legend goes back almost a decade. Most recently, Mandela counseled Naomi for her anger problem after the 2006 cell phone incident. According to 46664 Concerts, Naomi was set to play "an integral" part in the festivities -- instead, she'll be watching from the nosebleeds.

M.A.C. raises $100 million for AIDS research

Filed under: Cosmetics, Style for a Cause

mac viva glamOne of the most successful campaigns in the beauty world is M.A.C's Viva Glam campaign. When you purchase Viva Glam products at M.A.C., 100 percent of the sales go towards M.A.C.'s AIDS Fund, which raises money to fight HIV and AIDS globally. This Fall M.A.C. has reached an incredible milestone by raising $100 million dollars. This milestone has been 13 years in the making and M.A.C will continue to raise money as they set their next goal.

Aside from having great Viva Glam products to purchase, celebrities have lent their fame to campaign as well. In the past Viva Glam spokespersons have been Ru Paul (the first spokesperson), Eve, Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Missy Elliot, and many more. The next spokesperson will be none other than singer Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson.

Viva Glam products are for sale year round, so head to your M.A.C counter and support a good cause.
