We love all of the amazing independent designers out there. In order to find out more about just what makes all of these creative types tick, we present to you an ongoing segment called Indie Designer Interviews.

Today's interview is with the designer behind dressedbydanni, a UK-based independent fashion label, and the creator of the halterneck hoodie, a super fun and flirty style perfect for spring.

I am pretty confident that everyone can relate to this. You see a spectacular item while shopping and "behave" by not making the purchase; oh aren't you proud of yourself? Later that night you stir and shake about the purchase you should have made. Next day (or next week) you go back to the shop to indulge only to find it is gone. Sad story, happens to all of us.

Last year I had one of those moments while shopping at the Denim Bar in Washington, DC. I was trying on a pair of Sass & Bide jeans and needed a top so I threw on a very fashionable and interesting hoodie. Both looked great, but at the time I couldn't rationalize $220 jeans and a $225 hoodie. Silly me. That was the best hoodie I had ever put on my body.

I searched high and low to find this magical hoodie only to come up with nothing. Fast forward a whole year and this magical garment has reappeared. The designer is Lauren Moshi and she designs gorgeous hand crafted clothing that are made in the USA.

Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and while I am not all that "into" celebrating St. Patrick's Day (beer? ew.), nor am I all that fond of wearing green, Ella Moss's Stripe Long Sleeve Hoody Dress is enough green to wear out and prevent any unwanted picnhing. The 49% polyester; 46% rayon, 5% spandex dress has a deep V neck that hits at the empire waist that adjusts with a tie. The dress has a fun hood that keeps it casual, and instead of being all green, is actually a green and navy blue stripe. A casual knit dress like this calls for a pair of wedge-heeled espadrilles, and if they're made of a deep dark denim, even better.

There's something about hoodies that make them seem cozier than regular sweaters. Perhaps the only downside to the zip-up staple is that they seem almost too casual and too comfortable to wear them to work or out to dinner. You are mad hopping around town this weekend getting your Holiday Hullaballoo on, which is why Norma Kamali's Everlast Kangaroo Terry Dress is perfect. The dress is basically a very long hooded sweatshirt that is belted at the waist with a fogiving drawstring to give you shape. That way, you won't look like you simply tossed on The Boy's old XL hoodie. It has 3/4-length sleeves, ric-knit cuffs and hem, and falls to about 34". If you're daring enough, go bare legged, but we think leggings are very appropriate in this case.

The dress comes in a light heather grey, but we like the greige better. The coffee stains won't be as obvious.
