Paint on insoles from Invisi-sole

invisi-soleStyledash readers, by the time you read this, I will be deep down in the ninth circle of baby birthday hell. My niece is turning one year old, and I know that I will be running back and forth between the buffet and tables, checking on guests, chasing about a bazillion kids -- I will be on my feet in heels for upwards of four hours. Perhaps that is why I am keenly obsessed with footwear for the moment. More importantly, I am interested in staying as fashionably comfortable as I possibly can in my 4" heels.

I have not yet tried this new product, Invisisoles, but it sounds promising. The company has a patent pending on a liquid polymer that dries clear. In shoe-speak, it's a gel sole that you paint into your shoes. Basically, the benefit of something like Invisisole over a temporary gel insole that you insert into your shoes is that it is permanent, and that it can be painted into areas that insoles don't reach, like the "top" of the shoe that covers your toes. A small bottle of the stuff costs $19.99 and is available from their website.

If anyone has tried it, let us know what you think! If it really does work, it would be a miracle product!

Let's just call them "fashion fake-outs," little hidden secrets that help make you look fabulous.

Shapeshifting
- No one, and I mean no one still wears pantyhose, do they? I hope not. However, the one good thing about those ridiculous things was the control top. Since we're free to go bare legged, the best thing we can do to help tuck our tummy in without the help of Dr. 90210 is a girdle. Don't be afraid of the word. I know it sounds like some horrible thing that your grandmother used to wear in the '50s, but these days, we can call them "shapers." Spanx is an entire line of underthings that help "shape" us where we might have a little too much shape.
