We realize it's supposed to be a joke, but deep inside our hearts, we believe these guys might be on to something real with The Fuxedo!

Stuckey and Murray don't mention the price, but how can you put a price on genius? There are many men in our acquaintance who would very much appreciate a graceful sewn-in cummerbund and bow tie. Most have spent their lives searching a graceful two-way zipper fly.

So much grace for one item of clothing! It's practically couture.

Oh, don't just take our word for it. You must see for yourself. Safe for work, unless you sit near someone with delicate fashion sensibilities. You know, the kind who get hives from sale racks. They just won't get it.

For anyone who wants to get up close and personal with some of the Godfather of Soul's personal effects, a smattering of James Brown's jumpsuits, hair-care products, and memorabilia are being auctioned off this afternoon at Christie's in New York. We'd like to say it's because James Brown wanted to share some of his sex-machine fashion secrets with the world -- but really a judge ordered these items to be auctioned off to help his estate pay off a bunch of debts. Oh well.

Organizers hope that this collection of the Godfather's magical soul treasures -- many of them having to do with his always perfect hair -- will fetch about $2 million. Among the 350 items on the auction block are: his Grammy Award for Living in America, a green vinyl living room set, picks, combs, 80 rollers, hair lotion, and a few jumpsuits with the word "SEX" stitched across the front.

Come to think of it, there's probably no other celebrity who's left behind so many outfits that we want to buy.

We happily admit to a So You Think You Can Dance addiction, partly due to the amazing dancing, but also because we're always dying to know what host Cat Deeley will be wearing. She's at least eight feet tall, and quite thin, so obviously, she can wear just about anything. Still, she occasionally chooses outfits that make us wonder if maybe British fashion is like the British sense of humor -- rather different than American, but enjoyable once you "get it."

This outfit from the American Idol finale is something that we absolutely, completely get. True, it works for her largely because of her height and slim build, but it's one of our favorite jumpsuits this year, and even if you don't get it as a jumpsuit, this is a look that you could absolutely rock at a party. Some trends are easily followed by real women -- think bold prints, ballet flats, and wide leg jeans. There are certain rules that even a fashion dummy could follow. And then there are other trends that aren't for the faint of heart. Skinny jeans are hard to wear unless you're, well, pretty skinny. Fashion as architecture is a toughy. And the new heel-less heels are pretty darn scary even for the most hardcore fashionista.
