Glittery Toms, but why?
Let's be honest. There isn't anything even remotely attractive about the overall design of Toms shoes. But the charity aspect of the brand is what makes the Argentine slip ons so appealing -- for every pair of shoes purchased a child in need will get a pair for free. So, I have the utmost respect for anyone who has invested their hard-earned monies into the brand that creates the slightly ugly but "unique" flats.
With that, Blake Mycoskie -- the head designer of Toms -- was so very, very wrong for creating this gold bedazzled pair at right.
Whoa! Talk about a complete eye soar. These would only be a appropriate for a few Disney fiends aching for a similar pair of shoes like the ones Aladdin might have worn in his animated flick, but for everybody else --- this is simply a "no-go."
What do you think?
The weather here in LA, like most of the people who live here, is having a bit of a dual personality moment. It was beautifully sunny and teased us unto Spring yesterday and today, it is cold, gray, and on may way back home, starting to drizzle. It's the kind of day that begs for a pair of rain boots, bright yellow to keep us hopeful.
