If rumors are to be believed, then Kate Moss is about to get a whole lot richer!

Moss is supposedly joining forces with Sir Philip Green and Simon Cowell to form a new multi-million dollar entertainment venture, reports the Daily Mail. Clearly, Britain's got talent!

We reported last month that Topshop owner Sir Philip Green and "American Idol"'s Simon Cowell were developing a global entertainment company that would encompass fashion, music and television.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, the 35-year-old supermodel could net upwards of $163 million a year! Yes, a year.

You may remember we blogged about Beth Ditto's upcoming plus-size fashion line and its place in the "fat-shionista" wars last month. Well, Beth Ditto at Evans is finally here!

The singer's plus-sized fashion offering has a serious Eighties vibe. (Not a real surprise if you saw the black and white domino print getup Ditto wore to the launch party for her collaboration and in her ad campaign above; the look is in the collection.)

And no style was sacrificed due to the larger sizing, which is how it should be.

It's really is unlike anything we've seen for this neglected segment of the fashion population. And, frankly, it's about time!

Check out the pieces on the Evans Website. And for on-model images, visit Perez Hilton.

Breaking News - Karl Lagerfeld Competes with No One, Kate Moss Fears Copycats and Christian Lacroix Accepts Bailout?

Filed under: Style in the News

A FABULOUS FASHION WEEK IS COMING AFTER ALL
Speculation about a downgraded New York Fashion Week has been swirling due to recession woes. After news broke of the Met Costume Gala's scale back, LA fashion Week's lack of corporate sponsorship and Fall 2009's loss of major designers like Betsey Johnson and Vera Wang, the fate of the live catwalk show was in question. No need to fear, says organizers, it seems the posh production is shaping up just fine.

FASHION BAILOUT: HOW WILL THE LACROIX DRAMA PLAY OUT?

Christian Lacroix has been making headlines concerning his flailing business, with many wondering if his Paris Couture Fall 2009-2010 show was his last. However, shortly after the close of his show, the celebrated couturier was spotted backstage greeting fellow designer Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy, sparking rumors of a partnership with LVMH, Givenchy's parent company.

Beth Ditto's Plus-Size Clothing Line for Evans Makes a Fashion Spalsh

Kate Moss' slinky line for Topshop, Beth Ditto's plus-size line for Evans – what's the difference among fashion friends?

Not much gauging from the love-fest going on at the party for Ditto's collection, which drops this Thursday (July 9) at Evans, Topshop's plus-size sister store (which, delivers to the US, so yay!).

Moss, Ditto, their boss Sir Philip Greene and a host of skinny-mini fashion types were seen generating more excitement about double-digit sizes than I can remember in recent history. And I'm being literal here: Evans' definition of plus-size starts at size 14, which is actually a US 10, not exactly plus-size in my book.

But I'm not here to split hairs. It was actually just nice to see plus-size clothing not pitted in the center of some controversy, but rather cause for a party.

On a beauty note, check out Ditto's makeup: WOW! Does anyone else smell potential for a MAC contract? I know the company sends her makeup artist stuff for tours and appearances, but I've got a sixth sense about these things.

Twiggy - The New Face of Olay

She's still got it!

25 years after starring in Olay's original UK TV ad campaign, iconic Sixties model Twiggy is back to work as the brand's face, this time appearing in Olay Definity's new UK print ads (above).

"We we thrilled to welcome Twiggy back to the brand," says Sarah Clarke, spokesperson for Olay Definity. "She is a true beauty icon who continues to be an inspiration to millions of women across the UK."

Despite the controversy that her rail-like, boyish figure caused (you think Kate Moss had it bad?), the original waif (now, about to turn 60) has endeared herself to an audience of women who have likely long given up trying to look good in a Mary Quant minidress.

In addition to the new Olay campaign, the supermodel is continually the center of British behemoth Marks & Spencer's celebrated high-profile ad campaigns (holding her own with the likes of fresher-faced models like Lily Cole, Erin O' Connor and Lizzy Jagger), and even has her own line of apparel and bed linens.

Maybe it's Twiggy's down-to-earth attitude about aging that makes the former "It" girl so easy to relate to.

"I don't understand people getting depressed about growing older," she told the Daily Mail. "There is nothing you can do about it, so you might as well embrace it."

Kate Moss Hams it up for Virgin Atlantic's 25th Anniversary

Talk about a model airplane! Kate Moss gets uncharacteristically animated with Virgin Atlantic founder Sir Richard Branson. Photo: Getty Images

Ummm, do y'all remember when Kate Moss was a publicity-shy, notoriously aloof model who rarely showed up at promotional events, let alone put herself at the center of them, in costume with an ear-to-ear grin to match?

Well, look how times have changed. To mark Virgin Atlantic's 25th birthday, Moss rocked up to the wing of a Virgin jumbo jet, dressed in a red romper and Yves Saint Laurent Tribute heels -- a successful imitation of the pin-up girls who grace VA's aircrafts -- and leaped into Sir Richard Branson's arms before an adoring crowd. (Thank goodness he caught her. Those are some serious heels.)

But wait! The cheese continued, as Branson (in his captain-for-a-day outfit) posed with Moss and his kids, the four smiling for the cameras, Branson waving his captain hat in the air.

Karaoke Kate! Moss Sings for Charity

Usually she's the perfect arm candy for the bad boy rock star, but this time around Kate Moss has taken the mic into her own hands.

Daily Mail reports that Moss was a judge at the "Hoping's Got Talent" celebrity karaoke fundraiser event at Cafe de Paris in London. But into the evening, the crowd chanted for the 35-year-old supermodel to take the stage.

Not one to disappoint cheering fans, the supermodel hopped onto the stage and was joined by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. (It probably didn't hurt that a guest bid £47,000 to hear the duo sing.)

Summertime means BBQs, sunny weather (hopefully!) and in Topshop's case, taking to the streets on a cool bike in an equally cool cycling ensemble.

Starting June 20th, and lasting for one week, the Soho, New York store will host the Bicycle Club.

The fast-fashion destination will have a stable of 30 bikes that it will lend out for free! Riders will be equipped with a biking map of fun spots around the city including some across the bridge in hipster central: Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

As with any sight-seeing excursion, remember to bring your camera! Riders are encouraged to take snap shots and upload them to Chictopia where they will be entered into a competition to win -- you guessed it -- a free bike.

Moss and leggy Canadian model Daria Werbowy (shown on continued page) star in the brand's Fall/Winter '09 ad campaign, shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The above is the brand's first ever billboard.

Kate Moss to Launch Vintage Fragrance

"Vintage" by Kate Moss. With retro bottle to match. Photo courtesy of Coty

Kate Moss has made a fortune re-imagining her own vintage-chic style for the Kate Moss Topshop collection, so it's no surprise that she'd take the same no-fail approach for her line of fragrances for Coty. The name of her latest, and third scent, says it all: "Vintage."

"I am fascinated by vintage pieces because they not only have a remarkable beauty but also an innate sense of history," says Moss. "I love the fact that each object has its own story to tell. And yet vintage items can be reinvented with a modern twist to make them very fresh and relevant today. That's why vintage looks have inspired my personal style, my work as a fashion designer and, now, my fragrance."

Naomi Campbel for YSL?!

Last season, designer Stefano Pilati snagged everybody's favorite beautiful mess Kate Moss to front his star-infused spring ad campaign.

Well, if all the rumors are true, he's enlisted the help of another notoriously bad girl for fall.

WWD reports, supermodel Naomi Campbell has been chosen for Yves Saint Laurent's fall ad campaign. The 37-year-old London babe apparently shot the campaign recently in Paris with the killer photography duo Ines van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Naomi has always been one of my favorite models, so I'm happy to see her still getting those coveted bookings in the fashion industry. In addition, her chiseled body will compliment YSL's austere futuristic pieces nicely.

Plus, Naomi was the first person to rock the Ike Turner-esque bowled haircut that every model wore on YSL's runway this season. In fact, she sported the hairstyle during her short stint of community service back in 2006.
