These killer heels by L.A.M.B. have a rich red suede upper with a daring fish scale detail and sexy zipper in the back. There's something so 'fiery Flamenco dancer' about these heels that we could imagine them spicing up your fall uniform of black dress and black tights faster than you can click your castanets - if you had some.

Why aren't you wearing this? L.A.M.B. Mitaka Heel

Filed under: Accessories, Shoes, Must Haves

While a neutral shoe is always a good investment, we have one problem with them -- they can be boring. Even though we know that they'll look fabulous, and elongate our leg, we just have a hard time wearing a shoe that, in the box, makes us yawn.

That's why we love this Mitaka Heel by L.A.M.B. in gray, available for $354.99 at Heels.com. It does everything a nude shoe needs to do, but it does it with some extra style. Instead of simply being a shoe we'd wear with an outfit needing a neutral, we'd search out ensembles to wear with these shoes!

Gwen Stefani designing uniforms for W Hotel bar

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style

Uniforms can go one of two ways. A man (or woman) in the right uniform can be ridiculously sexy (Catholic school, Navy, baseball), but in the wrong one (bellhop, Reno 911) can have just the opposite effect. W Hotels is certainly aware of this fact, and so in what we think is a brilliant move, they've brought in Gwen Stefani to design dresses for the female bar staff at their hotels.

Gwen's L.A.M.B. line is wildly popular, and we've got to say that if we had to wear uniforms, we'd be thrilled to have Gwen design them (hint, hint, to the powers that be -- StyleList bloggers need designer uniforms!).

Tip of the day: Harajuku Lovers window

Filed under: Style Tip of the Day

Gwen Stefani has captured her pioneering look for her clothing lines L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers. Yes, one of the few celebrity clothing lines that actually matters. This week, window shoppers, Stefani lovers, and New Yorker's (or all of the above) will be happy to know that Stefani's Harajuku Girls will be in the windows of Bloomingdale's on Lexington Avenue Thursday and Friday.

Although the new mom won't be attending, the Girls will be promoting the latest looks from the line and will also be singing handbags in the flagship store as well as the SoHo Bloomie's.

As for the clothes? We guarantee that "This sh*t is bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!"

Celebrity shoe collections - More popular than you'd guess

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Shoes, Celebrities with Style

We're not going to lie. When we heard Jessica Simpson was coming out with a line of shoes, we were prepared to poke fun at them. Not that she doesn't wear cute shoes -- we just didn't picture ourselves as the Jessica Simpson Footwear-type.

However, we kept finding ourselves drawn to shoes from her collection in the shoe department at Macy's, and when we admitted it to a fashionable friend, we found that she, too, had fallen somewhat in love with Jessica's shoes. And we're not alone -- according to Eric Q. McCoy, the owner of Heels.com, Jessica's collection is the number one seller.

Why aren't you wearing this? L.A.M.B. 'Signature - Mandeville Small' Satchel

Filed under: Handbags, Accessories, Daily Obsession, Must Haves

One of the things we love about being a girl is that we can be sweet and girly one minute, a vamp the next, and tough and sporty after that. And sometimes, if we find just the right outfit, we can be all of those things at once.

Celebrity clothing designers: Who would you wear?

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Lots of celebrities have taken to "designing" clothing lines. And, while some of them make sense -- who wouldn't want to dress like Penelope Cruz? -- some are questionable, to say the least. Check out this list of celebrity clothing designers and then cast your vote -- who's line would you be most likely to wear?

Gwen Stefani goes scentsational

Filed under: Fragrance, Celebrities with Style

The latest singer to get her own scent will be fashion plate/new mom/L.A.M.B. designer Gwen Stefani. Stefani has signed up with Coty to create a new fragrance which will be launched next fall. Coty has worked with a bunch of other singers turned perfumers including Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez. Fashion Week Daily reports that Stefani is positively giddy about the project saying that "it's like me shrunken into a box." The first L.A.M.B. scent should be available next fall. The first scent will be one with a wider appeal but she plans to create other scents. Stefani has designed clothes, watches, and shoes. What's next L.A.M.B. cosmetics?

Fashion Week's soundtrack

As Cathy Horyn reports in the New York Times, the MisShapes are absolutely hot right now. So hot, in fact, that they're providing the tunes for the shows and/or afterparties of Calvin Klein, Tory Burch and L.A.M.B. (the inimitable label of Gwen Stefani).

The MisShapes is a trio of DJs: Geordon Nicol, Greg Krelenstein and Leigh Lezark. They've emerged as the musical must-haves of the fashion set, and indeed Ms. Horyn invokes the comparison to Andy Warhol and the Factory. Am I wrong here, or didn't Andy Warhol make the famous remark about having fifteen minutes of fame?

Well, alhough Ms. Horyn's article is titled "Cool, at Least for a Few Minutes," here's hoping the MisShapes will be cool for several hours at a minimum!
