Eva Mendes Introduces Cartier's New Love Charity Bracelet

Ah, love. It's arguably the most inspiring concept in the arts.

Take music for instance. Just think of all the songs with the word "Love" in the title: "Love Me Tender," "The Lovecats," "Love in an Elevator," well, you get the point.

But it's also a major influence in jewelry. Um, heard of Cartier's Love Collection? Thought so.

Love Charity Ambassador Eva Mendes was on hand at the Cartier Mansion in NYC to announce the new Cartier Love Charity bracelet benefiting The Art of Elysium, a non-profit organization that encourages musicians, artists and actors to volunteer their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions.

Beth Ditto to Front First Issue of Love

Just because about a million magazines (totally exaggerating) have been forced to close up shop and continue to layoff thousands of people in order to stay afloat during this global economic recession doesn't mean one can't launch a brand new fashion magazine. Duh.

Tara Reid is getting married to a fashion exec

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

It looks like Tara Reid's foray into the world of fashion brought her more than just inspiration for a line of beaded bikinis -- it appears it also brought the former Taradise talent true love in the form of French fashion executive Julien Jarmoune!

One of Tara's friends blabbed about the romance to The National Enquirer, so we're not sure we totally buy the rumors, but there are things that make sense. Apparently, the couple met while Tara was doing research for her fashion line, and "he's had an amazingly calming effect on her."

Gwen's Harajuku Lovers perfume

In the past, Gwen Stefani has credited the very hip Harajuku district in Tokyo, Japan as the inspiration behind her clothing line and two solo albums.

Well, the avant-garde street culture has penetrated the singer's new fragrance line aptly named Harajuku Lovers that is set to drop this September.

The line consists of five scents: The first four are named after Gwen's back-up dancers -- Love, Angel, Music, and Baby -- while the fifth scent "G" represents the leader of this frighteningly cool group.

Anna Wintour is a cougar

Who's hotter -- Andy Roddick or Roger Federer? We're going to go with Roddick on this one because we've been secretly in love with him ever since he started dating Mandy Moore. But, Anna Wintour would beg to differ. The cougar in her has been set free and it looks like she's still trying to get her paws on Federer.

La Wintour had made plans to fly to Florida and watch the Sony Ericsson Open last week. But, then when Federer was knocked out of play earlier than expected, she mysteriously canceled her trip.

Must-have accessory for Sex and the City movie: Cutesy Heart Flask

Who better than Patricia Field, stylist for the Sex and the City gals, to give us the perfect accessory for the Sex and the City movie? Well, truth be told, I'm sure there are lots of must-haves. I mean, you can't go without Manolos on your feet and a Carrie Bradshaw-approved bag on your arm, right?

Well, even better, or at least far less expensive, is the Cutesy Heart Flask. At just $26, it's totally affordable, and useful. You could fill it up with, you know, hot chocolate, or soda, or the obvious -- COSMOS -- before hitting the movie theater for the big premiere and feel right at home with Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte.

Although, since we're talking about a feature length movie, you might want to bring two of them since they only hold 6 oz. each. That way, if the movie isn't meeting your expectations, you don't have to worry because you probably won't remember it anyway!

Underwear the most important factor in choosing a mate, new study shows

So you're dating this new girl (or guy), and you think things are going great. They're funny, they're interesting, they didn't laugh when you got all vulnerable and revealed your nasty nickname from junior high -- so could it be love?

Maybe. But according to a recent survey, the clincher has nothing to do with looks, or common interests. Apparently it all comes down to your underwear -- and not necessarily the pair you're wearing the first time you two get busy.

Wanna Flirt, a UK-based dating site, surveyed hundreds of its members, and found that a person's undies were the most important factor when sizing up a new beau.

"A drawer full of holey underwear suggests he doesn't look after himself, so he won't be able to look after her," says one expert. "...a woman who looks after herself and looks good will turn you on more than a woman who doesn't," adds another.

I suppose it's true, that judging someone by the contents of their underwear drawer is just a tad superficial, but I'm not sure it's such a bad idea. Of all the places you never think anyone other than you is going to look, your underwear drawer has to top the list, right? So wouldn't this, therefore, be like a window to a person's soul -- a guide to how they really are, underneath that flashy smile, cunning intellect, and adorable laugh?

That being said, rifling through your date's skivvies the first time he or she lets you into their house probably isn't going to do great things for your relationship, so proceed with caution.

For when love cuts you deep

Now there's a necklace for everyone who understands the pain and suffering of true love!

This Razorblade Necklace is the latest from Elsewares -- those edgy, angsty Brooklyn designers who have a habit of finding the dark side in everything. They say this piece is the perfect replacement for flowers, chocolate or diamonds, and I agree -- in an Emo sort of way. Ah, the danger of love -- the passion! Love is like a rose, with thorns -- thorns that pierce your soul! Etc.

But, joking aside, it's a nice-looking necklace. Plus, the edges have been dulled, so it's not as dangerous as it looks.

So, if you're wallowing in the torturous depths of love (or just like the look), and have $110 to spend on a razorblade, you can buy the necklace here.
