Kate Hudson Strips Down, Talks Alex Rodriguez, Weight Loss and Botox in Elle UK

Aside from Alex Rodriguez, Kate Hudson reveals in an exclusive interview for the December issue of Elle UK that she and Madonna might have a few other things in common, too.

An unusually edgy and oiled up Hudson appears in the David Slijper-photographed fashion spread wearing a skimpy Chanel bra and briefs set revealing toned thighs and buff arms, a la Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour garb. The rest of the outfit? Just a feathered Lanvin headpiece and leather gloves.

Explaining her new hard body, the actress says she's been on a mission to lose 20 lbs. for an upcoming role portraying a terminally ill woman.

When asked what she currently weighs, Hudson replies, "I'm pretty solid, actually. I'm not, like, 110lbs. But I'm probably heading towards that."

Yikes! We're praying she doesn't get as scary-skinny as Madge.

Madonna's Son David Banda Rocks Dior Shades and a Man Purse

Looks like Lourdes Leon isn't the only child with with fierce fashion moves in the Madonna household.

Accompanying his adoptive mother on a trip to Malawi, his birthplace, four-year-old David Banda flaunted his cheeky and chic side with a cool cartoon tee, Dior sunglasses (swiped from Madge, perhaps?) and a woven man (er, boy) purse.

(We're hoping we won't have to coin a new fashion term, "burse!")

The little fashion plate -- who's apparently been taking style notes from his Material Girl mom-- gave the paps a show to remember by sticking out his tongue and vogue-ing for the camera.

Watch your back, Cruz Beckham. You've got competition!

The Hair Bow Trend - Wear it Now

Filed under: Hair Cut and Style

Shiny bows at Luella Spring 2010. Photo: Getty Images

Big and small, chiffon and taffeta, hair bows of all shapes and sizes made a recurring appearance on the Spring 2010 fashion runways.

Worn pinned along the sides of the hair like a middle school girl at Diane Von Furstenberg, wrapped around the head like a perfect present at Jason Wu and tied around a side ponytail at Milly, bows were a beauty headliner.

Not since the 1980s have hair bows been this stylish. And the trend seems to be channeling the decade, too. Over the top and oversized (think Madonna during her Like a Virgin days), as well as smaller ones worn two and three at a time (after all, it was the decade of excess) were the most notable styles parading down the runway.

Fabrics were equally extreme, with taffeta, chiffon and patent leather among the most decorative.

According to the pros, to look less Material Girl and more modern-day, size and placement matter.

"The bows on the runway were mostly oversized and eccentric, but for the every day woman, bows that are smaller and understated are more realistic," notes celebrity stylist Michael Boychuck.

As for placement, adds Boychuck, gather a small section of the hair on one side and secure it with a single bow.

Madonna
is donating a pair of her Christian Dior shoes to a Romanian charity supporting Gypsy child education, reports The Associated Press.

The "skyscraper gold heels" autographed by her Madge-sty will be auctioned off at the Ovidiu Rom's annual ball taking place at the end of the month in Bucharest, reports The AP.

According to the source, the provocative pop star was booed by the audience in Bucharest during an August concert on her "Sticky & Sweet" tour after saying widespread discrimination against East Europe's Gypsies, also known as Roma, should end.

"Madonna's very mild comment regarding equality shone a spotlight on a common European attitude toward Gypsies. We're thrilled to have her donation because she is such an icon of innovation and vigor and 'can do' spirit," Leslie Hawke, president of Ovidiu Rom, told The Associated Press

Ethan Hawke, who happens to be Leslie's son, will attend the ball and speak to the guests, says the source.

Madonna's Pretty Vintage Outfit on Letterman, Plus Says She'd 'Rather Get Run Over by a Train' than Re-Marry

Madonno arrives for Letterman in vintage look

We spotted the Material Girl looking gorgeously vintage on a visit to David Letterman's show in New York last night.

The singer, who's been very fond of black lately, classed things up with a knee-length coat, strappy heels, and a leather handbag (Vuitton, we imagine).

We also loved her half-back hairstyle with delicately curled ends. She would pass as a '50's movie star, and we approve.

Aside from her fashion and beauty win, Madonna had more to offer fans.

She sat down to--gasp!--enjoy a slice of fine NY pizza, and talked openly about how more kids may be in her future, but marriage certainly isn't.

Exclusive! Facialist to the Stars Tracie Martyn Shares Her Celebrity Skincare Secrets with StyleList

Tracie Martyn

From Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock to Brad Pitt (just to name a few), her hands have touched some of the world's most famous faces.

She even passes Madge's famously persnickety standards. Meet Tracie Martyn, the skincare guru/facialist with a client roster that reads like the reservation list at The Ivy.

So, what is it about Martyn that makes her such a hot ticket among the A-list? The petite and charming blonde knows how to give the face a lift sans needles, knives or lasers.

Inside her jewel box Greenwich Village, NYC salon, she's concocted the "Resculpting Facial," a nearly $600 treatment ($300 if given by one of her associates) that uses a combo of deep cleansing and exfoliation along with a machine that emits mild currents to stimulate, tighten and contour the skin.

The results have converted some stars into virtual Martyn addicts. After receiving a series of her lifting treatments while starring on Broadway, Rupert Everett had the press accusing him of plastic surgery.

StyleList got a chance to talk to Tracie Martyn right after she performed a pre-fashion week facial on Diane von Furstenberg. (DVF has a standing weekly appointment with Martyn.)

Also stopping in for treatments before their shows were Narciso Rodriguez and Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein, respectively. In fact, the Resculpting Facial is such a fashion favorite that John Galliano once referred to it as the "Haute Couture of all Treatments," a term Martyn subsequently trademarked.

Meghan McCain Admits to Wearing Fake Hair Since High School

First Tyra Banks confessed to being a user, and now, Meghan McCain has publicly announced that, she too, is a member of weave-users-anonymous. In fact, she has been since high school!

Prompted by her appearance on "The View," the former presidential candidate's daughter says in a blog post on The Daily Beast, "not all the hair attached to my head is real."

McCain even admits to going faux on the night of her father's presidential nomination. "On the night my father accepted his nomination for president, I wore a giant Madonna ponytail extension (circa her Vogue tour) -- much to the dismay of some of the campaign advisers, I might add," she writes.

The blond columnist admits in her Daily Beast post that she just doesn't feel quite the same without a little follicular enhancement, writing, "The problem now is a feeling that such illusions are necessary," she says on the site. "I have been wearing fake hair for so long that I can't help feeling my hair doesn't look nearly as good without some pieces in it."

Breaking News- Lindsay Lohan beat Madonna? Lauren Conrad: Kohls' Secret? Ron Jeremy at Fashion Week?

Filed under: Style in the News

UNGARO BLONDE BATTLES
Lindsay Lohan was named the new artistic adviser of Emanuel Ungaro, sparking rumors that she was the cause of the head designer Esteban Cortazar's departure. Would he have stayed, if say, mega-star Madonna was chosen? Along with Paris Hilton, Madge was said to be up for the role.

L.C. on the D.L.?
Was Lauren Conrad on the down low about her new clothing line for Kohls? We're not sure how we missed this, but it seems we're not the only ones. Originally slated to be in stores this coming October, the launch was changed to today, without any huge hype. Were marketers nervous about her recently shuttered high end line?

FASHION PORN?
What the heck was x-rated movie star Ron Jeremy doing at a fashion show? That is all we have to say about this.

Celebrity Look-Alikes

Punk Princesses Even at the tender age of 15, Taylor Momsen of "Gossip Girl" is reminiscent of Courtney Love's rocker days. The bangs, blond coils, and funky accessories make the look for both trend-setters, though Momsen chooses smoky eyes over fake lashes, and her brick-red lips somehow seem more polished.

Back in Black It's not just their illustrious black manes and tawny complexions that these two have in common, but also their passion for estrogen-fueled chitty chat.

Angelina Who? Newcomer Jessica Lowndes, (left), of "90210" fame is the newest sexpot on the scene to bear resemblance to the ultimate seductress, Angelina Jolie. Like Megan Fox (right), her come-hither features include long dark locks, ample bosom, smoldering eyes, and a well-perfected pout.

Blond Ambition They've both got an enviable booty, but that's not where the similarity stops for Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. Kardashian (left) recently unveiled lighter locks that reminded us all of a certain South Bronx singer.

White On! There seems to be a trend among "Gossip Girl" actresses mimicking real life personalities. Blake Lively (left), who just rang in her 22nd year, shares a similar penchant for form-fitting white frocks, sun-kissed skin, and tousled blond hair as supermodel 46-year-old Elle Macpherson.

Heart Attack! Her Madgesty Madonna has been rocking these heart-shaped shades for the better part of a year during her Sticky & Sweet tour. More recently, Drew Barrymore was seen sporting a similar style while filming her new movie in New York in August.

Style Chameleons On any given day, Lady Gaga (left) is a hybrid of pop stars past and present--including Paris Hilton. Her outrageous style may be un-heiress-like, but her blond locks and love of attention remind us of Paris on the Red Carpet.

The New "Rachel"? Was Victoria Beckham's spunky 'do (circa 2007) the inspiration for reality star Kate Gosselin's blond-striped bob? It's a complicated style to maintain (Posh moved on long ago) but it does give the storied mother of eight an edge over her fellow soccer moms.

Madonna Channels Eva Perón While on Vacation in Portofino, Italy

While the rest of America was pondering whether a First Lady should wear thigh-baring shorts, Madonna was channeling Eva Perón while on vacation in Portofino, Italy.

The pop icon arrived with model beau Jesus Luz and her kids: Lourdes, Rocco, David Banda and newly adopted Mercy James.

For lunch at the Portofino home of designers Dolce Domenico and Stefano Gabbana, the Material Girl donned head-to-toe black, layering a black Dolce & Gabbana see-through lace dress over what appear to be '40s-style granny pants (above).

Madonna Turns 51 - Celebrities Less Than Half Her Age Still Steal Her Style

Filed under: Style in the News

Lady Gaga is just one of many celebrities who have snagged Madonna's style. Photos: George Pimentel, WireImage | Jim Smeal, WireImage

Madonna may have the biceps of a 25-year-old bodybuilder, but she's got the birth certificate of a 51-year-old.

Last night, hours shy of turning a year older, the singer was serenaded by the audience at her controversial Warsaw, Poland Sticky & Sweet tour stop, reports the AP.

Concertgoers burst into the traditional Polish birthday tune "may you live a hundred years."

Today, as she officially blows out the candles on 50 -- likely in the company of a Brazilian male model or two -- we think it's fitting to shine the spotlight on her iconic fashion sense and its unwavering influence.

Take Lady Gaga, who might make headlines for her pants-off dance-offs, but it was Madonna who put performing in knickers on the map.

Madge's trailblazing contribution in solidifying the bustier as suitable stage wear is undeniable. The pointy bra will forever conjure up the image of this conical wonder (above right) worn on her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990. It paved the way for Gaga to shoot fireworks from her bust (above left).

Celebrities over the years just haven't been able to resist Xeroxing looks from Madonna's playbook and it's no wonder -- her chameleon-like ways have consistently been original, one-step ahead, and more than anything, provocative.

She spawned a world of wannabees and fellow celebrities are clearly no exception.

Happy Birthday, Madonna!

Victoria Beckham Rivals Madonna for Scariest Celebrity Arms

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Victoria Beckham greets fans with stick-thin arms as she arrives for one of her guest judging appearances on "American Idol." Photo: Charles Pullium, AP

Sorry, Madonna. You've got some major competition when it comes to bizarro, freakishly skinny arm photos.

Blame it on the lighting or camera flashes or angle or whatever, but Victoria "Posh" Beckham was showing some seriously scrawny arms as she shook hands with fans in Denver before the taping of an "American Idol" audition episode.

Beckham, who's serving as a guest judge on FOX's hit singing contest, has long been called out for her skeletal figure, but in this photo, she's practically disappearing.

What do you think of Beckham's guns (er, toy pistols)?

Madonna's 'Sticky & Sweet' Stylist Spills Her Summer Hair Secrets

While vacationing in Spain last month, I happened to be staying at the Hotel Arts Barcelona when the juggernaut of Madonna and her "Sticky & Sweet" tour checked in.

It was almost as if the hotel had suddenly begun pumping pure stress hormones through the ventilation system, with Madonna flunkies scurrying through the lobby and vainly trying to carry on panicked cell phone conversations in moving elevators.

So it was surprising that Andy Lecompte, the star Los Angeles stylist charged with tending her famous blonde locks while on tour, should be the calmest of the bunch.

Lecompte talked to StyleList about keeping the world's hottest pop star looking cool during the summer leg of a tour that plays 30 European dates in barely six weeks -- and the product he's "obsessed with" to keep her looking good.

"Some of the challenges?" Lecompte emailed from Russia, "That would be four countries a week, plus humidity, sweat, quick changes. We don't have to do the same hair each time but Madonna's shows are very planned and rehearsed.

Once I design a look for a show with the cut and styles and we decide what we're doing, we don't vary from it, aside from maybe an occasional part change from middle to side."

Madonna's Creepy Arm Muscles, Diamond Eyeshadow, and More!

We know the Material Girl likes to look fabulous, but two recent developments are kind of creeping us out.

First, Madonna was photographed in London this week looking freakishly muscular -- and not in a good way.

Her veins are popping, her biceps are bulging, and her skin looks like it's clinging to her bones for dear life.

Next, we heard from Shu Uemura that Madonna's makeup artist for her Sticky & Sweet tour uses "a mixture of crushed, small flawless diamonds and white eyeshadow" on her lids. DIAMONDS? Come on, now.

Has she gone too far? Take the poll and leave a comment below!
