Let's take a step back in time, to April say, when Gwyneth Paltrow joined her fellow Iron Man co-stars on a tour of the world and looking seriously hot doing it. We mean, holy smokes, did you see those legs! Impressive. We are totally going to start doing pilates and the vegan thing. You know, after we get a big Thanksgiving turkey dinner in our bellies and an equally delicious ham on Christmas. But like, right after that, totally vegan and pilates oriented here. Thanks for the motivation sexy mama.

Angelina, Madonna, and more for Halloween - From Red Carpet to Your Closet

Filed under: Holiday Style, Celebrities with Style, Get the Look

Sure, some people like dressing up in some sort of gross and gory get-up for Halloween, but not us. We prefer to use this as an excuse to go over the top with clothes, hair, and makeup. You know, the way celebrities do every time they step out on the red carpet.

Madonna threatens to kick Sarah Palin's butt - Could she?

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Now, at a stop on Madonna's tour in NYC, the pop diva promises the crowd "I will kick her ass." That brings up an important question for this years election -- please cast your vote below.

Madonna takes a shot at fashion with Chanel gun shoes

Filed under: Shoes, Celebrities with Style

The Material Girl has come under fire many times in her career for her unique fashion sense, and she's not about to stop now. For the premiere of her new film, Filth and Wisdom (Madge is making her directorial debut), she wore a pair of Chanel stilettos with a handgun as the heel.

Sandra Bernhard has Madonna issues

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

I'm pretty. Madonna looks like Dyan Cannon.
Can you blame her? Sandra Bernhard and Madonna were once the best of galpals. That was only twenty years ago, and while Madonna's fame and fortune has continued to skyrocket, Bernhard can only seem to get press when she bashes Madonna.

So she bashes Madonna.

Got Bingo Wings? Get FLABuLESS!

It's just a fact of life. Unless you are Madonna, or Angela Bassett, as you get older, your triceps, a.k.a. the backs of your arms become...looser. More prone to undulating when you wave your arms, or sag like a wet bag of sand when you reach across the table for the ketchup and/or chardonnay.

Yes. We're talking about Bingo Wings.

Winehouse, Madonna, and others immortalized in Lego form

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Must Haves

Have you always wished that you could have a tiny Amy Winehouse so you could recreate one of her drunken meltdowns on your pint-sized Lego amphitheater? Now you can, because Lego's decided to mold a limited edition set of celebrity "minifigures" to celebrate 30 years of the little plastic people. Getting your facial features painted on a tiny collector's edition Lego figurine is certainly an honor, but that doesn't mean it's all that flattering.

It certainly looks better on some stars than on others. While Amy Winehouse looks quite a bit healthier and less meth-addicted than she does in real life, other pop icons like Madonna look substantially uhh... blockier? Angelina Jolie just looks downright scary. Other stars getting the Lego treatment are: David and Victoria Beckham, Brad Pitt, Simon Cowell, and Danni Minogue. Unfortunately, the tiny plastic celebs won't be released to the public. So, you probably have to find an Lego employee and beg them to snag you one of these treasures of Lego history.

Since the introduction of the minifigure back in 1978, Lego has produced over 4 billion of the square-legged people.

Madonna's clothes to appear in London exhibition

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style

Just in case you've been living under some comfy rock for the past few months, Madonna has launched her tour, Sticky and Sweet, and as expected, the tickets to see Madge hop around the stage in designer duds are fairly expensive.

So the Hard Candy disc that we purchased for twelve bucks is probably the closes we'll be getting to Madonna this year. Le sigh.

However, if you're just as broke as we are and live acrooss the pond, you can see the majority of Madonna's amazing outfits at an upcoming exhibition in London. In February 2009, East London's Old Truman Brewery will play host to "Simply Madonna: Materials of the Girl," which will showcase the singer's "most iconic stage costumes and the clothes she has worn in various videos and film."

Those who have yet to see those cone Jean Paul Gaultier bras in person are going to be in for a treat.

Fad Diet du Jour: Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet

Filed under: Fashionable Food, Celebrities with Style

Fat behinds ruin the lines of Calvin Klein, and Dior doesn't come in plus sizes. It's time for a diet! But which one? A new one pops up every day. We help you sort them out with Fad Diet du Jour.

The catchy name: Dr. Siegal's Cookie Diet, Hollywood Cookie Diet, Smart for LIfe

The story: In the 1970s, South Florida-based Dr. Sanford Siegal realized that "Hunger Wrecks Diets" and started to make appetite suppressant cookies for his patients who were trying to lose weight. The recipe is a secret, but it involves amino acids. You can order the cookies from his site, and there are also shakes and soups. It's a super-low calorie diet, around 800 calories a day, so you are only supposed to do it under the supervision of a doctor.

The scrawny celebrity dieter:
Mr. Madonna, Guy Ritchie

The anti-diet propaganda: Oh, this is a diet. That's totally explicit, and they advertise that many people lose 15 lb a month.

The regime: Eat six of these cookies throughout the day, drink eight glasses of liquid (coffee and tea are allowed) and finish up with a "sensible dinner" of 6 oz of fish or chicken and a cup of vegetables. That's it.

Our judgment: If you stick to it, you'll probably lose some weight because it's so low cal. But there's no recommended exercise plan, and most people will inevitably succumb to food boredom binging, so the pounds will probably return. Not a long-term solution, but might be worth talking to your doctor about it if you're struggling to jump start a serious weight loss program. Not for the diet dabbler.

Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour - crotch shots, bad costumes and Hitler

(Click the photo to see more shots of Madonna's performance)

Madonna's descent from fashion icon to pop-music has-been continues. Recent photos from the star's Sticky and Sweet tour are more or less what you'd expect -- overtly sexual, with pseudo-S&M costumes and plenty of ladies spreading their legs for the camera.

Birthday best wishes to Betsey Johnson, fashion icon!

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

We could kind of say that we caught it with Kristen's post on this drool-worthy ring, but really, we almost missed the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Bestey Johnson fashion label.

Betsey and her business partner and CEO Chantal Bacon had a big bash last Friday to celebrate their long and successful collaboration, which officially started on Betsey's birthday, August 10, 1978.

She and Madonna pretty much defined style in the 80s and her signature look is just as fun and popular today as it was 30 years ago, with embellished skulls, ruffles and bright colors. To celebrate her anniversary and because of popular demand (the best reason, right?) this fall will see the release of the Betsey Johnson Vintage Collection.
