Frederic Fekkai Salon Glaze Clear Shine Rinse: yay or nay?

I'm not the biggest beauty junkie, but I do like trying out products when all the magazines are touting them as the next miracle creation. Most of the time, I'm less than impressed, but when I do find a new addition to my makeup bag or medicine cabinet, it's so worth it. (I will never regret the $17 I spent on my Shu Uemura eyelash curler.)So I decided to give Frederic Fekkai's Salon Glaze Clear Shine Rinse ($28) a whirl after reading about it seemingly everywhere this month. The silicone-based treatment promises it "binds shine, recharges color, and adds silkiness to the hair." Kind of like a DIY glossing treatment--which was just what my blonde highlights needed after a long summer.

Nothing sucks more than purchasing a new magazine only to find out that the contents of the glossy aren't worth there two dollar cover charge. And if it's a fashion mag that you are purchasing, sometimes you only want to look at the edits. So coughing up cash to take home the whole issue can be annoying.





As we've repeatedly documented on this site, their is a clear lack of diversity in the fashion industry. All of the runways, editorials, advertisements, and fashion covers have been completely white-washed for the past eight years now.

Congratulations to Complete Woman magazine, for going above and beyond the call of duty in celebrity Photoshopping. It's not exactly a secret that no real person can live up to the carefully crafted images that appear on the covers of magazines -- but at least those mags are trying to make the photos look kind of plausible.
Black models aren't used enough in fashion magazines, and it's because their editors are racist.
