It goes without saying -- experts just know better than the rest of us. And when it comes to make-up, no one is more of an expert than a professional make-up artist. As you might guess, as someone who occasionally has access to make-up artists, I'm constantly pumping them for their expert information.Of course, sometimes that expert information is catty and gossipy. For instance, a make-up artist once told me that Paris Hilton has HUGE feet -- like size 11! And sometimes that expert information is actually somewhat useful. For example, they can tell you which concealer best covers your dark circles or which mascara gives you the best bang for your buck.
I recently posed the latter question to a make-up artist, and she told me that the best bang your buck is definitely Loreal's Lash Out mascara, which is sold at any old drugstore for $6.99. Why is it so great? Well, according to my Deep Throat Make-up Artist, this mascara is actually the exact same formula that used in the much more expensive Lancome line. The only difference, of course, is packaging and marketing.
