When it comes to my manicures, I've always enforced a strict (what I like to call) "Chanel clause" -- if it's fake, I'm not interested.
Artificially enhanced nails typically scared me. The one time I saw a gorgeous faux manicure, it was on a snazzy retiree from Boca Raton, the kind of lady who made nail care (and mahjong) her full-time job. So I was completely surprised to learn that such extensive nail services -- specifically the UV gel manicure -- are making a comeback, and among people of working age and with little time (or cash) to spare.
