T-shirts for geeks and the people that love them

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Men

Whit Honea is a slacker, a borderline degenerate, and a daydream believer. He's also our resident expert on casual chic. If it's comfortable, and not heinous, he's all over it. He's quite charming, really.

We've had geek shirts on here before, and we'll probably have them on here again. Let's face it, we blog for a living, of course we have a soft spot for the wonders of geek chic.

Geek Gear has more than a soft spot. They're all about all things geek. According to their website they are "dedicated to making computing fun with distinctive and unique gifts." We're guessing they find computing to be fun already, but we get the idea.

TorsoPants, like t-shirts but different (somehow)

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Men

What the hell is a TorsoPant?

TorsoPants are pants that have been specifically designed to be worn on your torso, instead of from the waist down. Unlike pants, they have a hole for your head. Like T-shirts, TorsoPants are soft, lightweight and are usually made from 100% cotton.

They sound amazing don't they? To be honest, I can't tell the difference between a TorsoPant and a t-shirt, but as you know I'm simple. Luckily, the company TorsoPants can tell the difference and for a small fee will sell you one (a pair?). I know, it sounds like a gimmick, but look, I have pictures!

Jessica Alba has perfect wiggle, say Cambridge mathematicians

World's sexiest wigglerA group of Cambridge mathematicians has discovered what all of us have known for quite some time -- that Jessica Alba has the world's sexiest wiggle.

I'm not joking. This was an actual study carried out by real Cambridge academics -- and it wasn't some office opinion poll, either. The mathaletes figured out that the wiggle in a woman's walk is determined by the ratio between her hips and waist. Apparently when you divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement, you're looking for a ratio as close to 0.7 as possible (this will produce the most angular -- and therefore the most alluring -- swagger).

So, a woman -- like Jessica Alba -- with a 25-in. waist and 36-in. hips has the ideal shape to pull off a sultry swing as she walks.

Of all the academic studies that take place every year, this is clearly one of the most important.
