Kynt Cothron and Vyxsin Fiala of 'The Amazing Race' at the Emmys - StyleFoul!

We bet you think we're calling StyleFoul because of the pink hair, the super goth eye makeup on both of them, or the ripped fishnets that Vyxsin Fiala is sporting.

Nope.

Buy Michael Jackson's undies for a million bucks

Filed under: Style in the News

We don't have a problem shelling out a bit of cash for underwear -- our favorite brands don't come cheap, you know. However, when we spend our hard earned dollars on unmentionables, they'd better be new and unworn, neither of which qualities can be used to describe the tightie-whities formerly belonging to Michael Jackson that a New Jersey businessman has put up for sale on eBay.

Everybody is tipping their hat to Karl these days

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Celebrities with Style

For people who want show their appreciation for Karl Lagerfeld's contributions to the world of fashion, but can't afford any of his designs, you can at least get his Cartman-esque cartoon image plastered on a t-shirt. After breaking into the video gamer demographic with his cameo in Grand Theft Auto IV, now Karl's being immortalized in graphic tee form by Urban Outfitters. He's really on a roll.

Somehow the fashion guru has managed to end up in an UO exclusive collection called Beautiful Ones alongside David Bowie and the King of Pop himself. We're not sure we get the connection -- stylized androgyny? Maybe it just means that he's reached a place in pop culture where his only peers are rock stars. We cant help but point out that Karl and Michael are both competing over who can claim the award for 'Most Notable Gloved Celebrity.'

Aside from the line he did for H&M, this has got to be the least expensive market that he's ever appealed to.

Sheryl Crow plans eco-chic clothing line

Filed under: Style in the News, Clothing, Jeans, Celebrities with Style

Just what the fashion world needs, another quasi-boring, overpriced celebrity clothing line -- at least this one will be eco-friendly. Alt-rocker and breast cancer survivor Sheryl Crow has apparently decided to jump on the bandwagon of rock stars pretending to be fashion designers, teaming up with Western Glove Works (the same guys who manufacture Posh's dVb jeans) to bring us a new line of vintage inspired, eco-chic casual wear.

We know Sheryl as both a cancer and environmental activist, but not so much a fashionista. Her line will be called "Bootheel Trading Co. by Sheryl Crow," and will consist of mostly denim-based apparel: t-shirts, jeans, organic cotton this, fair trade that, etc. We're expecting the collection to be one part granola, and one part western wear -- judging by Sheryl's laid-back fashion sense. A friend told Star magazine that "She's heading to Australia in October to meet with her partners and start production." No telling when the line will actually hit stores though, or what stores it will hit.

Sophie Dahl, where'd your nose go?

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

There's a great line in the play Cyrano de Bergerac where our big-nosed hero, Cyrano, tells his friends that despite what others might say, he believes his famously large honker is actually the source of his strength and virility.

Apparently, the British model Sophie Dahl, granddaughter of writer Roald Dahl, needs to bone up on her 19th-century dramas because girlfriend has serious desecrated the nose her parents gave her (right photo from 2001). As you can see from the recent photo on the left, Sophie's nose is teetering perilously close to Michael Jackson status, which is really a shame because she has a truly interesting, beautiful face.

But you know what they say, "Once you go Jacko, you never go backo."

Of course, Sophie Dahl isn't the first woman out there to go overboard with rhinoplasty. I've collected some of my "favorite" celebrity nose jobs in a gallery for you to check out. If I left one out, leave a comment, and I'll add it to the collection.

Michael Jackson costumes up for auction

In yet another strange twist of fate for the ex-King of Pop, Michael Jackson is about to lose a number of his most iconic costumes, all because his family stopped paying rent at the storage facility where they were housed. After the family failed to pay the bill, the costumes were seized to cover the cost. Now dozens of hats, the Bill Whitten red coat pictured at right, and a countless number of crotch-grabbing gloves will go to the highest bidder.

Apparently Jackson tried, but was unable to stop the auction. However he was able to convince the storage facility to donate at least a percentage of the profits to charity -- which makes sense, as I'd be shocked if he'd run up a bill that he and/or the sale of the seized items wasn't able to cover.

So, if you really, really want a piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia, head to Las Vegas, where the auction is taking place. The former pop star was actually invited to sit in on the auction, so -- if you're lucky -- you might even get to see the man himself.

Remember when: the Michael Jackson jacket

Whatever you may think of Michael Jackson (the hypobaric chamber, the cosmetic surgery, the baby-dangling, etc.), you can't dispute that, in a more innocent era, the man had a lot of stylistic pull.

Nowhere is this more apparent than the so-called Michael Jackson jacket, red leather jacket with silver mesh venting at the shoulders. This jacket, for me, defines the mid-80s. First, everybody saw the jacket in the video for "Beat It" (still one of the greatest videos ever). Then everybody saw it in the video for "Thiller". Then -- miraculously, it seemed! -- it was available for retail purchase.

Needless to say, everybody -- or nearly everybody who listened to pop music, at least -- had one. And, lucky for us, all of these jackets have been put away, burned and/or donated.
