Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves
So you weren't quite ready to jump forward into 2008, were you? Take more than a few steps back in time with the Sabrina Dress from ModCloth. The vintage-style dress is made of a thickly woven tweed with a metallic sheen in a palette of shades of gray. The scoop neck is lined with contrasting black grosgrain, and has flattering darts just above the bust. WIth a swing-y coat and a pair of black rubber rain boots, the Sabrina works well for January, and can take you straight into Spring when you switch your shoes to black patent heels with a sweet rounded-toe.Available from Modcloth for $39.99
Sometimes, simple isn't just easier, it's truly better, like Joie's Bardot dress in gunmetal gray. The knit minidress is nothing more than a simple line with a wide scoop neckline with tiny gathering and long sleeves with an elasticized cuff to create a subtle puff at the wrists. Because the dress is so simple, accessorizing it easy because you can basically do anything. Keeping the entire look simple with nothing more than a pair of black tights with a hint of shimmer and knee-high boots is our choice.
What makes this dress the best $235 you'll spend at Shop Intuition? Norma Kamali's black and white striped tunic is so versatile, you're basically getting four dresses in one.

This past Friday, your Styledash team hit up the GenArt Fresh Faces in Fashion event in Los Angeles, which we'll be writing about in more detail later. We were introduced to a few relatively new names in fashion, and one of them is
Maybe it's the weather. Maybe it's the stress at work. Whatever it is, I am all about dressing comfortably these days. However, dressing comfortably doesn't mean I want to show up at the office in flip-flops, sweatpants, and a hoodie.
Perhaps it's a little late in the season to be looking at short-sleeved minidresses with fairly high hemlines, but it's definitely not late at all to shop sales.
Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day, especially if it's black and white?

Is it just me or dis it feel like a sauna on the equator of Hell yesterday? Yes, it was hot, humid, and I was cranky as you-don't-want-to-know.
I will almost always tell you, no matter how stick skinny you might be, to never ever never never wear horizontal stripes, particularly wide stripes.
I am tempted to slip into a sunny little sundress today. February. Just past Valentine's Day, and it felt like...summer?Y esterday, I kid you not, it was probably 90 degrees in LA, and it is looking like it will be the same today.
