Brüno Gets Naked for GQ

His movie hasn't even come out on our shores yet, but Sacha Baron Cohen's alter-ego, Brüno, is verging on overexposure -- and frankly, the entertainment value is so high, I don't mind.

On the cover of GQ's July issue (out on newsstands June 23), SBC's gay Austrian fashion journalist character poses in the buff, perhaps a not-so-subtle allusion to the magazine's recent (and mildly scandalous) cover featuring Jennifer Aniston.

Cannes Closes in Style With 'Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky'

Have you gotten your fill of CHANEL on-screen yet? Neither have we, so we're thrilled that yet another Coco Chanel story has been brought to life. This time, it's the story of Chanel and Igor Stravinsky's love affair, and was the film that closed this year's Cannes Film Festival in true French style.

The star of the film, Anna Mouglalis (Coco Chanel), was dressed in head to toe CHANEL for the premiere and press junket. Mouglalis was positively radiant in a green dress specially made for her by Karl Lagerfeld for CHANEL, accessorizing with two "C Signature" necklaces and a "Haute Couture" bracelet. Even her makeup was done by CHANEL.

For the press junket, Mouglalis wore a ladylike navy lace embroidered dress from the CHANEL Spring/Summer 2009 Haute Couture collection.

We can't wait for it to come to a theater near us!

Reese Witherspoon left her typically sophisticated style behind at the Los Angeles premiere of her new animated film Monsters vs. Aliens. Stepping out of the box almost always backfires for most actresses but Reese managed to look fantastically futuristic in her Rodarte dress.

'Valentino: The Last Emperor' Premiere Brings Out the Stars

The much-anticipated film, "Valentino: The Last Emperor," premiered in New York last night, and the carpet couldn't have been much more star-studded. Gwyneth Paltrow and her stylish mama, Blythe Danner were there, as well as Gwynnie's pal Madonna. Joining them were Anne Hathaway, Martha Stewart, Claire Danes (with her cutie-pie man candy, Hugh Dancy) and lots more. But don't take our word for it -- check out the gallery to see who came out to celebrate Valentino!

Agyness Deyn sports a longer, more feminine 'do and some seriously chic bling -- we're loving this look on her, and hope she continues to leave the flannel at home.

Camilla Belle in McQueen - I Want That!

camilla belleCan we be completely honest here? We've always been sort of a xenophile (read: someone obsessed with foreign cultures), especially when it comes to Asian influences. And we are so excited that the contemporary "Tokyo in the 1930's" thing going on in fashion right now is finally trickling down to the red carpet (and then hopefully down to us!).

Camilla Belle showcases the trend well here with the to-the-shoulder sleeve cut, small slit, and collar shape but keeps the look modern with print, color, skirt length, and golden gems.

Another day, another movie premiere full of ill dressed lunatics. Of course, when Jim Carey's involved, you have a higher, deeper, broader caliber of crazy. Just look how fun the "Yes Man" premiere is for Zooey Deschanel. Yes, indeed, Zooey was contractually obligated to be there, just in case you were wondering. There's a reason she brought her sister: p-r-o-t-e-c-t-i-o-n.

Sex and the City sequel (not) coming soon!

sex and the city sequelSex and the City fans were beyond thrilled to hear that Kim Cattrall confirmed a sequel being in the works next summer. Michelle Trachtenberg at the L.A. premiere of 'Doubt' - Your turn

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes, Polls and Quizzes

Is it just us, or do think Michelle Trachtenberg has the potential to be one of the most stunning women in Hollywood? She has those big eyes, a naturally full pout, and don't even get us started on the hair. But then, she wears this, and we find the whole thing so boring we hardly even notice her.

Don't get us wrong -- we are all about the Little Black Dress. And Michelle has worn the LBD with aplomb on other occasions, but this time, something is seriously lacking. Like fit. Or style.

Or maybe it's fine. Perhaps we expect too much of her. All we know is, if we looked like that, we'd find something that made us stand out just a little more. What about you?

Is Lizzy Caplan the next Angelina Jolie?

Used to be a bad accent, cheap wig and quick pair of fangs made for a hit movie about vampires. But the gay-old-days of Anne Rice, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt are over, thanks to HBO, Charlaine Harris and a little help from the surprisingly hot Lizzy Caplan. And her boobs.

Manolos over magic - SATC outsells Harry Potter

Filed under: Style in the News

It makes sense that the DVD of a movie that appeals to shoppers would have an incredible first day of sales (even if the party celebrating its release wasn't so fabulous on its own). In fact, the Sex and the City: The Movie DVD sold at the rate of approximately 90 per minute on its first day, outselling Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

What we're curious about is how many people are buying it because they didn't see it in the theater, and how many are buying it because they want to watch it over and over. We know we're itching to get our well-manicured mitts on it so we can gawk at the glamor and fashion at our leisure. How about you?
