Shoes of the Day: Giuseppe Zanotti Rose Bud Satin Mules

If this pair of shoes weren't made for all the holidays and events in February, I don't what is. Party into the night for Mardi Gras? Romantic dinner out on Valentine's Day? Okay, so maybe the red and bright fuschia color combination isn't right for the Super Bowl (both the Giants and Patriots are shades of blue and red).

Giuseppe Zanotti's Rose Bud Satin Mules have a fuschia satin upper and a matching color patent leather heel that stands at 4". Of course, the best part of the shoe is the enormous red satin rose. These are a great pair of sandals to "wow!" with a simple back dress, or add to an already colorful dress.

Stubbs and Wootton mules, high fashion comfort food

Some girls pine for sky-high Manolos. Me, I like comfort which is why the Stubbs and Wootton mules are on my want list. They have an entire line of slippers, slides and mules for those of us who want to look cute and fashionable without teetering around. The Stubbs and Wootton mules have embroidery details that look adorable peeking out from under a pair of jeans. Lobsters, pirates, crowns and these haloed skulls are just some of the available designs. Alas, the price is not quite so comforting, this pair of linen mules with embroidery costs $310.

Stylish Crocs

I admit, I've had my eye on a pair of Croc clogs for a while now. But something has been preventing me from purchasing a pair. Sure, the soles look squishy and ergonomic and the colors are delightfully vivid -- yet their virtues don't seem to outweigh their vices.

Crocs, I suppose, are just a little too cloggy for me.

But Croc ballet slippers might just work. The so-called "Prima Crocs" are still foot-friendly and brightly colored (black, fuchsia, silver and gold), but unlike their older brother -- the beach -- these round-toed flats might actually flatter my legs.
