Filed under: Style Tip of the Day

Oh sure scarves of all kinds – winter scarves, knit scarves, wool scarves and even warm weather scarves – have been trendy for some time. But not since Jackie O. have we seen prime little neck scarves like these.

Man face: Rejuvenate it with Gessato

Filed under: Accessories, Men, Skin Care, Product Reviews

Do you have a man face? Most men do. It's a fact.

Gessato Face Treatment's cell regeneration complex is a lightweight serum to help keep that man face as boyish as possible. It provides protection for the neck and face, which is nice, but it is also an agent for active rejuvenation. It's kind of like the fountain of youth in a small pump.

There are a bunch of vitamins in the formula, as well as ingredients we have trouble spelling. Together they help rebuild the skin's complex defense system and smooth out wrinkles by naturally hydrating the face and neutralizing the actions of free radicals. Do we sound smart when we say stuff like that?

Gessato Face Treatment "improves skin tone and hones the neckline, reducing the unsightly effects of double chin." That alone is worth the purchase.

We've been using the serum for a few weeks now (as well the shaving treatment), and we've got to admit- it's good. Yes, we still act like we're James Bond when we call it 'serum' and sometimes we pretend it will self-destruct if we don't apply it in a downwards motion, but that's okay if we act a bit boyish, or face will back us up.

Stylefoul: the neck lanyard

Filed under: Accessories, Clothing, Celebrity Fashion Mistakes

Nerd chic has had its moments. Heavy-rimmed tortoise-shell glasses? Fine. The I-don't-iron-my -clothes crumpled look? Sure. The intentional cowlick? Maybe.

But nerd chic hits its outer limits when the neck lanyard is involved. An accoutrement for the Information Technology set, a lanyard allows you to actually remember your flashdrive when you finish working at your cubicle (rather than forgetting it and remembering it days later, as I do with my keys, phone, passport and other essentials that, when forgotten, result in total catastrophe).

But why is it that so many people insist on rocking the neck lanyard after-hours? How many times have I seen this on the Metro or at a happy hour? Is it that they've simply forgotten that it's around their necks? Or -- as I fear -- is a new, more potent strain of nerd chic preparing to strike?
