Going pro: What your color says about you

Somewhere during your grown-up years, chances are you'll have the opportunity to attend some sort of networking event. And, while you could go with the resume tee, in some professions that might not go over all that well -- you need to find a more polished, professional look.

However, before you throw on your trusty old suit, think about the message you want to send. Just as the type of attire you choose (suit, dress, etc.) says something about you, the color you choose sends a message to prospective contacts and employers. In an attempt to grab a bigger piece of the younger trendier market, it looks like Nordstrom has decided to finally take part in the whole social networking thing. Over the last couple of weeks, Nordstrom has been quietly launching its first ventures into the worlds of Facebook and Myspace.

Surprised? It's for their BP section, so it's probably a better idea than it sounds like at first. Their Myspace page is literally covered up in images of Pete Wentz and his hoodies -- just to give you an idea of what they're going for.

Sunday - Moo cards are a new customizable option that allows you to print photos from your Flickr account on a slightly slimmer card than usual. For $19.99, you get 100 cards, and they dont' all have to have the same image, you know because some of them have a picture of you (give to the boy) and some of them have a picture of you and three cats (give to grandma!).

Monday - Fabulous! An appropriate name for a stationary company whose pre-made designs are absolutely fabulous. The color palettes are intersting and the designs are some-modern, some-retro. A set of 100 cards is $55.
