Simon Cowell and Topshop Owner to Team Up

Two of the most successful men in Britain have decided to join forces to create an entertainment company to rival the media and marketing giant that is Disney, reports Daily Mail.

Simon Cowell, known for his role on "American Idol" and a predilection for extra-tight shirts, and Sir Philip Green, who owns a number of the U.K.'s largest retailers (including Topshop), have been buddies for close to a decade but only now decided to become business partners. The plan, according to WWD, is to market shows across the U.S. and Europe, then do heavy merchandising to capitalize on the hit shows.

Green, who has never worked in showbusiness before, will keep his retail business separate from the joint venture (good thing -- the last thing we need in the dressing room is to think of Simon Cowell and his scathing remarks!). The billionaire will focus on finances, while Cowell, whose contracts are up at Sony and American Idol, will use his experience in the entertainment industry to oversee production.

Target McQ Arrives at Last!

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style

As soon as we heard that Alexander McQueen was the latest designer to create a line for Target we started counting the days minutes seconds until we can get our hands on the edgy and affordable McQ Alexander McQueen for Target.

And we're not alone -- we heard the try-on line was longer than the bar line at the celebrity filled Target McQ Market VIP shopping party on Friday, February 13. Stylish stars like January Jones, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes and Brittany Snow, are just as crazy about those pink and black Zigzag-Print Zip Leggings as we are!

Designers like Stella McCartney, Zac Posen, and Luella Bartley have all had hugely successful partnerships with the "design for everyone" retailer. If past Target collaborations are any indication, you'll want to get in line early on March 4th when Target McQ goes on sale nationwide!

Hello Kitty Says Hello to MAC

Nas teams up with Fila

Filed under: Clothing, Celebrities with Style

As pop stars continue to accept more and more fashion payola, it seems more and more like the music biz exists solely to create music for live clothing commercials. When it comes to the 1 year deal that Nas just signed with Fila, the lines get really blurred. Apparently, Fila is paying for Nas' upcoming tour and the promotion of his untitled album on DefJam that's due out in mid July.

In return, Nas will be sporting Fila products and helping the athletic wear company design an 80's-inspired line. Feels kinda sleezy, but it's easy money. He's by no means the first to sign such a deal. In fact, he's held out longer than most others. Soulja Boy signed a multi-year contract with Yum Shoes earlier this year to do his own line of shoes, and lots of artists on tour this summer are getting paid to let designers dress them.
