Kate Moss - aging just like the rest of us mortals

Either Kate Moss ran out of virgin's blood, or all that partying is really catching up with her.

Kate Moss' lipstick self-portrait finally sells

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Weird art and Kate Moss seem to go together like supermodels and Diet Coke. We already told you about the golden crotch-shot statue (currently on display at the British Museum), and now we've got something just as unusual, if not worth quite as much -- a self-portrait of the supermodel, drawn in lipstick.

Actually, it's kind of fitting that a model would use makeup as her medium, now that we think about it. Kate drew the portrait while still with her mess of a man, Pete Doherty. Apparently Pete sold the portrait, which he inscribed with "Who needs blood when you've got lipstick?" after the break up, and now that buyer has sold it privately for £33,600.

Amy Winehouse following the heroin chic footsteps of Kate Moss

Reports have surfaced that Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty are working together in the studio. Assuming, of course, that "working together" is code for "meeting our dealer" we can expect to hear that new single a week from never.

We blame Kate Moss for this latest union of crazy druggies. She is responsible on multiple levels.

More of Kate Moss than you ever thought you'd see

It wasn't all that long ago that Kate Moss came to her senses and ditched her drugged-up ex-boyfriend, Pete Doherty. In fact, I'm fairly certain the world breathed a sigh of relief when we saw him dejectedly moving his things out of Moss' London apartment.

However, hell hath no wrath like a lover scorned, and now Pete is trying to get back at Kate by showing the couple's home movies on TV. The rocker is in talks with Britain's (totally lame) IT2 TV network to make a documentary about his relationship with Moss -- apparently titled "Kate & Pete: A Love Story." If that doesn't make you gag, what's worse is that producers are offering him $1 million for access to home videos he and Kate shot while they were living together.

Gallery: Top 5 Celebrity Sex Tapes

By the sounds of it, some of it gets pretty raunchy, and thus Kate is working with lawyers to stop the tapes from going public.

Seriously, famous people: stop making sex tapes. They always, always always come back to haunt you in the end.

Reason number 5,678 that Kate Moss should never take Pete Doherty back

I've suspected Pete Doherty is a big fat loser for quite some time, and this appears to prove it.

The singer, who was famously dumped by Kate Moss because he couldn't stop taking drugs and sleeping with other women, recently tried to win back the supermodel's affections -- in the tabloids!

Well, at least, that's kind of what he did. He told Britain's Daily Mirror that Moss is a "nasty old rag" who "kicked [him] in the head." But he also said "I love her with all my heart. I like the way she walks and talks. I love her bones. I love her brain ... Kate has broken my heart."

Pete, come on, man. This sounds like you're not even trying. Rule number one for getting together with a former lover: save the insults for after she's taken you back.

If he and Kate Moss end up back together, I think I'll wretch.

Kate Moss breaks up with Pete Doherty for the 8,000th time

She said he was worth trudging through the mud for. He said she was worth giving up the smack for. But apparently the on-again, off-again romance between Kate Moss and her perennially drugged-up, ex-rockstar boyfriend, Pete Doherty, was never meant to be.

Kate kicked Pete out of her house. The movers were spotted yesterday, taking away his stuff.

How unexpected. The shock. I just...I'm speechless...I...

There's no official word from camp Moss, but seeing as her now ex-boyfriend appeared in court earlier this week to plead guilty to drug charges, and there's also been a few rumors circulating that he hooked up with a South African model last week, I'd say things aren't looking too good.

The question is: are Pete and Kate merely in the midst of another lover's quarrel, or is this really the end?

Unlikely casualty of a stinky boyfriend

Filed under: Runway Trends, Celebrities with Style

According to FemaleFirst.co.uk, Kate Moss had hoped to launch her signature perfume in Marrakesh with her boyfriend Pete Doherty by her side, but the cosmetics company behind her brand has its doubts as to whether she should have her boyfriend in tow at the event. In fact, rumor has it that executives are worried Kate's association with Dirty Pete will lead to lower sales.

A source told the Daily Star: "When you sell a fragrance you are selling a lifestyle. Every girl wants to be Kate Moss -- but nobody wants to smell like Pete's ruined flat. Perfume bosses hope Kate will come out to Morocco alone and that they can win her over by paying for her to holiday anywhere with Pete -- afterwards."

I get where the company is coming from -- Pete Doherty is a gross slob with dubious hygiene practices, but this is Kate Moss they are selling, and if was anything to be learned by the TopShop collaboration it's that you could stick her name on anything and it would sell like hotcakes.

Last-minute Halloween: Masked Beauty

Filed under: Holiday Style, Accessories, Clothing, Celebrities with Style

I don't know about you, but the idea of thinking up a new, creative, and cute Halloween costume idea every year kind of overwhelms me.

I want to be funny and intelligent with my costume choice, but then my vanity creeps in and says "Umm, yeah...so the pillow padding and face paint is NOT doing anything for those thighs, honey." But I'm afraid to go the way of the once-a-year vixen and end up looking like a Halloween streetwalker.

So what's a girl to do?

Does Kate Moss have a bun in the oven?

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Who doesn't love a little idle gossip about the fascinating relationship between Kate Moss and Pete Doherty? I know I do! And the latest grist for the rumor mill is that Kate is apparently pregnant! According to Pete's uncle, a 57-year-old gardener named Phil Michels, Doherty has twice confirmed that Kate was pregnant. Michels says that both Moss and Doherty are excited about the prospect of having a child together.

Pete Doherty: fashion designer

Just after Kate Moss signed her own agreement with the label Topshop, Pete Doherty stepped in to remind us that Kate is not the only one in that relationship with designer aspirations. Doherty had been working on his own clothing line with Goi-Goi, but the relationship went sour when the rocker's drug problem started to get out of hand. Citing his unpredictable behavior, the Manchester label told Doherty to go take a hike earlier this year. But now that he has finished rehab and earned a modicum of social respectability, Goi-Goi has had a change of heart, and the 27-year-old reformed smack addict will now debut his line of custom t-shirts, retro suits and jackets in the coming months.

Kate Moss speaks!

Filed under: Runway Trends, Swimwear and Lingerie, Celebrities with Style

Okay, so Kate isn't exactly gabbing about the things I'm interested in -- like why she's dating Pete Doherty or what it was like to be painted by Lucien Freud -- but she is, nonetheless, letting us know what's on her mind.

As I reported a few days ago, Kate Moss has signed on with lingerie designer Agent Provocateur to star in several video commercials in which she talks about dreams, desire, narcissism and a whole host of other steamy vices.

If you're interested in hearing what the ever-elusive, interview-shy Kate Moss has to say, you can watch her first video on the Agent Provocateur website. But don't be surprised if you feel a little disappointed. As the old saying goes, "Sometimes it's better to be seen than heard."

Trouble in paradise for Kate Moss

Filed under: Runway Trends, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Rumors have been flying about Kate Moss's plan to marry Pete Doherty this weekend. But after Doherty's recent court conviction, holy matrimony on the shores of Bali seems like it's out of the question.

According to an unnamed source close to Moss, Kate's mother Lynda has been very vocal in her disapproval of Doherty.

The source said: "Kate's mum is understandably concerned about her marrying Pete because of his drugs problem. She has tried to persuade Kate to have a pre-nup, but Kate's adamant that Pete is not marrying her for her money. Her words were, 'He's not materialistic - he's an artist'."

While it pains me to say it, Kate, your mother knows best.
