Even if we couldn't pull this look together, we can still get inspired by KK's look and pick up a strapless cobalt dress and add a little tulle to the bottom. Nah, we'll just leave this Alexis Mabille look to the pro!

Man, oh man, are we suckers for a peep toe. It just makes a shoe so sexy, you know? And then, when you add a peep toe to a shoe with some classic or retro detailing, we can hardly contain ourselves. We've got to have it!

The sandal is in the process of a style evolution. It began with the gladiator sandal -- when we first saw it a season or two (or three?) ago, it really seemed hard to wear. It was clunky and not terribly feminine, but now, of course, we love it. And so it's time to move on to the next stage.

More and more celebrities are sporting sexy sandals with a lot more material across the front than we were previously used to. Case in point: The Christian Dior Extreme Cutout Sandal, which was Carrie Bradshaw's shoe of choice in the SATC movie (and costs, depending on the material, $750 to $1000 or more).

We don't know about you, but on some days we wake up feeling high fashion -- we've got poise and style and want to run around town in heels and look unapproachably gorgeous. On other days, we wake up feeling a little less au currant, but that doesn't mean we plan to schlep around in sweats and carry a backpack for a purse -- not a chance!

When we first saw this shoe, we thought, "Huh. That's cute. It looks like something we would have worn back in our childhood days," and we dismissed it from our thoughts. And then we saw it again, and the appeal was still there, but this time without any thoughts of playgrounds and Sunday school -- we realized we wanted this shoe in the here and now. Especially since it's on sale at Piperlime.

The days of matching your handbag to your shoes is over. Sure, you still could be matchy-matchy, but it's not required. And so, if you have a big, bright handbag that you love, you can wear it with all kinds of outfits and all kinds of shoes.

You probably know that Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Piperlime are owned by the same corporation. You can use your card from one store at all of the other stores, and they all do a ton of cross promotion with Piperlime, the shoe site.

There's not much that adds punch to an outfit the way a metallic accessory does -- it's exciting, it's new, it's hot. It just makes us walk with a little more strut in our step. However, we will never completely bail on our good buddy brown. Brown has seen us through more trends than we care to remember, and it feels so comfy and safe.

First of all, if you haven't yet visited Piperlime, I highly encourage you to do so. We often refer to "skyscraper" heels here at Styledash, and when we do, we're usually just talking about stiletto heels that send your long, lean physique towering. However, this Spring, "skyscraper" is taking a truly architectural bent in shoes that not only feature high heels, but hard-angled designs that could look like you're, well, wearing little buildings on your feet. Now we're not saying we necessarily love the look of these super clunky shoes, but they were featured on the runways for Spring '08.

The shoe show is Giuseppe Zanotti's Cream-colored "wedge" sandal that has a 6" heel (we love that height!), but a 2½" platform, so you feel like you're sashaying on a mere 4½". The 100% leather shoes feature an oversized adjustable buckle on vamp, and ankle strap with an adjustable buckle, and contrast stitching.

I thought I had a serious shoe addiction when I was trolling zappos all day long (oh the wonder of the web), but I think I have found something that just might woo me away.

PiperLime is a new venture from Gap, which is trying to expand its brand from affordable denim and casual wear to one of the fastest growing segments in online shopping, shoes. The site, which launches officially on November 1st, will have everything from inexpensive manufacturers to high-end designers. Gap thinks it will differntiate itself from other online shoe sites by featuring celebrity "guest editors" who will hand-select shoes. Their first guest editor is stylist Rachel Zoe.

While some financial analysts are questioning Gap's move from a business strategy perspective, as a person interested in clothes and fashion, it sure makes sense to me. If you're going to wear clothes, you certainly can't go barefoot.
