Is it just us, or do think Michelle Trachtenberg has the potential to be one of the most stunning women in Hollywood? She has those big eyes, a naturally full pout, and don't even get us started on the hair. But then, she wears this, and we find the whole thing so boring we hardly even notice her.
Don't get us wrong -- we are all about the Little Black Dress. And Michelle has worn the LBD with aplomb on other occasions, but this time, something is seriously lacking. Like fit. Or style.
Or maybe it's fine. Perhaps we expect too much of her. All we know is, if we looked like that, we'd find something that made us stand out just a little more. What about you?

We don't want to pick on Anne Hathaway -- girlfriend has had a rough year. We can only imagine what we'd be wearing if the FBI had snagged our journals and diaries because of a scumbag ex-boyfriend. But, she's really been looking amazing (always the best revenge on a scumbag ex-boyfriend, right?), which is why we're going to need your help on figuring out how to feel about this.
A new kind of wedgie for men

We're not sure what to think of the latest trend to turn up on the runway: Fendi gave his male models wedges. Shoes that is. As in, he put them in heels.
True, men have been wearing subtle and not-so-subtle heels since Napoleon, and there was that outbreak of platform shoes in the 70s. Still, Fendi's decision has us stymied.
In theory, it's kind of a good idea. The wedge is a very comfortable heel in which to walk, it's not especially feminine -- a Louis heel will raise far more eyebrows -- but to us, there is something really weird about it.
Perhaps we're being stodgy, so let's put it to a vote. What are your thoughts about men in heels? Only good at a Gay Pride Parada, or the trend of tomorrow?

Your responses to our poll about how many nail polish colors do you own got us to thinking. The majority of us have at least five colors in the house. And a whopping 37% have "too many to count" sitting on a shelf in our bathrooms.
So the next logical question is...do you actually use all of that nail polish? Are you touching up your mani-pedi every evening while watching Entertainment Tonight? Or are your pinks and corals and blues all separating into clumpy, sticky, unusable chemistry experiments?

Today's Stylist poll is about fake bangs. Should you or shouldn't you, would you or wouldn't you?
We say, OMG yes!
Bangs can be the hardest hairstyle to pull off successfully, unless you're Heidi Klum, with an amazing face and 24/7 groomers to make sure they are exactly the right length at all times. Plus, growing them out takes forever.
But fake bangs take all of the maintenance, and commitment, out of the equation.
Prada, pictured here, went (as usual) for an ultra faux bang look. Fakies also turned up, just slightly more natural looking, at the Hervé Léger by Max Azria for Fall '08.
If those are too outré for you, there is always the standard sex kitten clip-on heavy bang, available across the internets for pocket change.

Do you hate sharing your soda? Does it disgust you when someone wants to borrow your lip balm? Your problems are over! Introducing the latest in cold sore chic, the rhinestone lip bling.Sure, everyone wants to be healthy, but looking healthy is so passé. Plaster these babies on your lips and never be bothered again. For added effect we suggest a sock in the eye and Goldschlager tears. No longer will you live in fear of jerks eyeballing your YooHoo (or your drink).
Seriously, what in the world could motivate someone into going the lip bling route? Granted, we can think of one legit reason to add traction to one's lips, but we can't write about it on this site.
Stylelist is running a poll over at their site today on this very issue. They probably won't say that someone rubbed the model's face in Pop Rocks, but they'll say something, and then you'll vote. It's the American way.

Which celeb designer has the best style?

UsWeekly polled it's readers to find out which celeb designer they think has the best style -- Choices were Heidi Montag, Lauren Conrad, Nicole Richie and Ashlee Simpson. You might be totally dumbfounded a little shocked when you find out the answer! Of almost 900,000 people, one of the girls took the victory with a solid 54%.
Who needs a padded bra?

I came across an interesting survey over at Fabsugar about padded bras, and the comments were fascinating. The question was whether you wear padded bras, and answers were all over the board. Some of the girls proclaimed themselves members of the "Itty Bitty Titty Committee" and some swore they were DD's with tiny waists (as I'm sure they are, because that's really common), but bust size didn't seem to be a common thread in choice. Some flat-chested women were thrilled to be able to go without a bra, or to just use the shelf bras included in many shirts, while others proudly proclaimed their passion for padding. Bigger-busted ladies ran the gamut as well, some preferring a bit of padding to lend support or "conceal the headlights" while others were more interested in minimizing that area.
