Oprah gives away Louboutins

Christian Louboutin - No Prive 942 Platform Slingbacks
It's days like these where I smack myself on the head and say " Why don't I go sit in the audience of The Oprah Show?"

The other day on Oprah's 'Making it Big' episode she was showcasing some of her favorite products that have "made it big." Some of those products were Coldstone Creamery ice cream, Carmex lip balm and Christian Louboutin shoes.

We all know how generous Oprah can be when it comes giving away her favorite products, so naturally she was giving stuff away to her audience members. Now I could care less about a $2 tub of Carmex but what I would have been excited to receive was the ice cream Christian Louboutin shoes.

Oprah and Christian Louboutin gave one lucky audience member a pair of open-toe tiger print patent leather shoes. These shoes are a great way to spice up a little black dress or to give a pair of jeans an extra bit on oomph.

If you weren't that lucky audience member you can purchase these shoes for around $600 at Saks. Just be warned: Since these Louboutins were showcased on 'Oprah,' they're probably sold out already and going for a million dollars on eBay.

Shoes of the Day: Christian Louboutin Catenita Platform Slingbacks

louboutin catenitaIf you're one of the O-sciples -- that's "Oprah's disciples" -- then you know that everyone (who can afford them) and their mothers will be hot on the heels (pun absolutely intended) of Christian Louboutin shoes with the signature red bottom. Of course, if you're a stylista, you've probably been rocking a pair of the shoes for the last two years.

We love Christian Louboutin's Catenita, which, upon first look, doesn't look too different from any of the many other platform, peep-toe slingback styles from the designer. However, the Catenita is not only a platform in the front that's covered by the upper, but it's a double platform. Though the heel doesn't go any higher to match the platform in the front (it's still only a 4" heel), we'll take the break that gives to our feet and lower backs.

The Catenita comes in black leather and cork, available for pre-order at Saks for $830.
