The geometric shape is further accented by the notch at the boatneck; it's such a nice decorative touch that you won't need to wear a necklace. How many handbags do you have? And, out of those, how many do you use on a regular basis? We'll admit, we sometimes get in a rut, switching just between black and brown, but we think that a bold, bright color is just as easy to carry.

A bag like this red Quilted Faux-Leather Satchel, $34.50 on sale for $19.50 at Old Navy can add a much needed punch of color to a boring outfit, or act as a complement to an already bold ensemble.

Shoes of the day - Sugar Handle This Boot

So yes, these boots are definite attention getters - what with the candy apple red vinyl and grocery bag handles - but they also might be the perfect rain boot. As cute as rain boots can be, most of us have very little need for them once we get to wherever it is we're going - once you're past 20 jumping in puddles for the fun of it just doesn't seem to happen very often.

Julia Roberts turns designer for Giorgio Armani's (RED) label

Out of all the Hollywood hotshots who have taken a shot at being a clothing designer, we wouldn't have expected Julia Roberts to jump on the bandwagon. However, she is trying her hand at designing, albeit for a good cause. The pretty woman is designing a t-shirt for Giorgio Armani's (RED) label.

The shirt will raise money for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, an organization started in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver. The charity has already gotten over $110 million from (RED) apparel and events.

What's with all the red heads anymore? We all know that only a low 1 – 3% of the population is natural so what's got everyone reaching for the dye box?

Just taking a stab at it, we're guessing women are:

• Tired of blonde and brunette stereotypes
• In need of change
• Looking to turn heads
• Loving the fiery and fierce redhead stereotype

Fierce? Fiery? Maybe we should jump on the red bandwagon!

For some girls, red is the only color for nails or lipstick. With a retro look like this, the details are all important -- smudges and chips are not to be tolerated. It's not all that often that the public takes notice of what His Holiness wears. Sure, he gets to drive around in the Popemobile, and he wears a hat, but we doubt Joan Rivers has ever jumped out of a pew at Mass and asked, "Pope, darling, who are you wearing?" Not that we wouldn't kind of love to see that, but as of yet, no dice.
