SHOW: Richard Chai
MAKEUP: Gucci Westman for Revlon
HAIR: Kevin Ryan for Ricky's
BEAUTY SNAPSHOT: Sk8ter girls

THE SCOOP: Richard Chai's clothing has never been for girlie girls, and his Fall 2009 show was no different. With slender silhouettes, punky plaid, leather and lots of blacks and grays, Chai sees your street chic and raises it 20. And what do street smart gals wear? Smoky eyes, of course. We've seem lots of these so far this season, but here, makeup artist Gucci Westman takes a fresh spin by blending matte brown shadow with steel gray shadow for what she calls a "mousy gray eye." Take it from us, this mixture of warm and cool did wonders to make the model's eye color really pop. For lips, Westman used a shade of lilac she and Revlon created exclusively for the show (pictured, right). It's yet un-named, but will hit the shelves later this year. Hair stylist Kevin Ryan was on hair duty, creating a "skate punk" faux-hawk that's reminiscent of New York's Tompkins Square Park, circa 1987. "We wanted the girls to look like they're in a band," he said.
