Take the Spiegel signature style quiz

Filed under: Style in the News, Vintage and Retro

Sometimes I think I'm a fashion schizophrenic. I like bright, bold prints and funky styles. But I also like soft, neutral, flowy looks. I like metallics and sexy black outfits, but I'm a sucker for a romantic sundress.

So, when I saw that Spiegel had a What's Your Signature Style quiz (with examples at the end for all but one style), I jumped right in (plus, who doesn't like quizzes?). It's haaard ... there were several questions for which I could have easily chosen two (or more) different answers. But, when I finished, my style was Natural Sophistication. Hmm, really?

Dress of the Day: Darsi Short Sleeve Dress

Filed under: Clothing, Dresses, Must Haves

darsi short sleeve dressIs it gray out there or is it just me?

It must be a little romantic, too, if I'm feeling all kinds of love for the Darsi Short Sleeve Dress by by Robin. The dress is made of 100% "smoke"-colored silk that buttons up like a shirt. However, make no mistake. This dress is feminine with its tiny ruffle detailing on the front and at the cuffs on the short sleeves, and a sweet little sash at the waist that ties into a bow. The skirt is modest enoughfalling 19½" from waist to hem. That's just above the knee to show off a pair of rockin' knee high boots if it's still cold where you are, or a sweet pair of platform Mary Janes.

$345 at GirlShop.
