We absolutely love it when the weather turns just cool enough that we need to wear a light sweater. To warm it up just a little bit, our favorite trick is a warm scarf -- it takes up almost no room, unlike a coat, so if the weather warms up we can just tuck it away in our handbag, but if we get cold, wrapping it around our neck really does the trick.
We are all about the types of accessories that can turn a plain tee and jeans into a true ensemble. Bright colors, patterns, and textures can be a fabulous layer atop simple white cotton, or add some interest beneath a blazer or sweater.
While a striped scarf immediately evokes feeling of school uniform preppiness, when you throw in some bright, unexpected colors, that preppiness gets all mixed up with something else. Punk? Retro? Something else entirely? We're not sure, but what we do know is that we like it.
