Pat Field is seriously doing an affordable line for the Home Shopping Network? Did we just die and go to heaven? Apparently we did because, as we reported last month in an exclusive interview, the legendary redheaded Sex and the City stylist is hosting on HSN from September 23 – 27. Field will be handing out free fashion advice and letting us in on her life as a celebrity stylist.

HSN is taking preorders right now so we're guaranteeing it will be slim pickins by the time Pat actually hits airwaves. But even if the collection is sold out, we're still going to tune in because tips from Pat are invaluable. And if they're free, we'll take em!

Sex and the City, The Movie: The book review

Filed under: Celebrities with Style, Books

You might be curious as to why the Sex and the City movie needs a book. It's as much about the fashions as it is about the plot, so what's there to read, right? Well, let us tell you -- a lot.

We received a copy of Sex and the City: The Movie from our friends at Harper Collins, who warned us that the book gives away the plot, so to be sure to see the movie first. This was totally true, so consider yourself warned.

SATC overload: Time Out magaine says 'enough already'

Filed under: Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Many of us have wondered just how much promotion it takes to make people sick of a movie before it's even released. Well, now we're finding out. The hype over the new Sex and the City movie has reached such outrageous proportions that it's now making headlines for how sick of hearing about it people are -- that includes people who are excited about seeing it on the big screen.

The current issue of Time Out New York is boycotting the whole thing entirely. That's right, they're putting out an issue that guarantees to be SATC-free. Apparently, as bad as we've been getting the SATC buzz, NYC is getting it way harder. In fact, tourists are crowding into all kinds of locations mentioned in the show. Will the movie live up to its hype and anti-hype? Reviewers at the premiere in Paris gave it 2 stars out of 5. So, hmm.

Would you wear fingertip gloves?

Filed under: Accessories, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

Leather Finger Tip Gloves
I have seen these gloves on Patricia Field's Web site for quite some time, and they have always intrigued me. Although I found them completely pointless (unless you are dialing a disgusting pay phone), I also found them extremely fascinating -- but why? They look kind of funny and they don't keep you warm ... what's the appeal?

Because my voice of reason spoke louder than my strange fashionable fascination, I kept my $32 in my wallet where it belongs.

Fast forward to today. I was visiting FabSugar.com where I saw more photos from the upcoming 'Sex and the City' movie. What was Carrie wearing? Uh-huh, fingertip gloves. What was she doing? She was dialing a dirty New York City pay phone.

Suddenly fingertip gloves are a bit more appealing. But the question is ... would you wear them?

Carrie's back

Filed under: Events: On the Scene, Style in the News, Celebrities with Style

sex and the city movieThe Sex and the City movie just started shooting, and the web is buzzing about what Carrie will be wearing. I am still undecided on how I feel about the movie (aren't the girls a bit old for their antics?), but nothing can stop me from loving Carrie's wardrobe. FabSugar has just posted pictures from a scene in the movie so we can get a sneak peak. Hooray!

This green little number that Carrie is rocking looks good at first glance, but on closer inspection, I am not completely wowed by the overall look. The green on green floral print contrast is great and is totally expected of Carrie (aka Patricia Field the stylist).

As for the accessories I have to agree with FabSugar; the smattering of "edge" was a little too much for me. In my opinion, she should have picked one studded item instead of going with both the belt and the shoes. Oh, and that Eiffel Tower purse made me want to hurl.

I am looking forward to seeing more images from the movie (that way I don't actually have to go see it). What do you all think of Carrie's look, love it or leave it?

Rumor Alert: The Return of Sex and the City?

Filed under: Style in the News

Are you ready for this? According to E!'s Watch with Kristen Sarah Jessica Parker has announced the Sex and the City movie is a go (but if you ask SJP she might just give you a maybe).

In the ET interview, fashion maven Sarah Jessica Parker talks about the launch of her clothing line Bitten (which hits stores today) shortly after she leaks the news that the Sex and the City movie will happen-- saying they are "finally ready."

So what do you all think? Do we really want this movie? When the show announced its end and women all over the world were getting ready to mourn their Sunday ritual maybe- but now aren't we a bit over saturated with repeats on FOX and TBS every five minutes?

What could this movie possibly be about any way... Carrie and the now "big" Big get hitched... yawn. Will Samantha settle down with her hunky boyfriend or will she give that lesbian thing another go. Will Charlotte spend every moment of her life learning Chinese so she can speak to her new baby and ruin her marriage (again). And who even cares about Miranda, she got totally boring towards the end.
