Sex and the City fans were beyond thrilled to hear that Kim Cattrall confirmed a sequel being in the works next summer. Actually, thrilled is an understatement -- they were busting out the cosmos and Manolos and planning movie release parties already! However, Sarah Jessica Parker brought us all crashing back down to Earth when she announced that she has no idea what Kim's talking about.

Sure, some people like dressing up in some sort of gross and gory get-up for Halloween, but not us. We prefer to use this as an excuse to go over the top with clothes, hair, and makeup. You know, the way celebrities do every time they step out on the red carpet.

Pat Field is seriously doing an affordable line for the Home Shopping Network? Did we just die and go to heaven? Apparently we did because, as we reported last month in an exclusive interview, the legendary redheaded Sex and the City stylist is hosting on HSN from September 23 – 27. Field will be handing out free fashion advice and letting us in on her life as a celebrity stylist.

HSN is taking preorders right now so we're guaranteeing it will be slim pickins by the time Pat actually hits airwaves. But even if the collection is sold out, we're still going to tune in because tips from Pat are invaluable. And if they're free, we'll take em!

We loved Isla Fisher as the psycho, stalkeresque Gloria in "Wedding Crashers," and we love the fact that she is married to the iconoclast that is Sacha Baron Cohen.

This winter, Fisher gets her first, much-deserved starring role as a likable ditz with a serious charge-it problem in "Confessions of a Shopaholic." (Based on the bestselling book of the same name.)

The trailer just went up this week, and while the story looks a bit stereotypically chick flick-ish, we'll probably go just to witness the wardrobe...and for the scene where Fisher's character bum rushes a cute guy with the line, "You speak Prada?"

It makes sense that the DVD of a movie that appeals to shoppers would have an incredible first day of sales (even if the party celebrating its release wasn't so fabulous on its own). In fact, the Sex and the City: The Movie DVD sold at the rate of approximately 90 per minute on its first day, outselling Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

What we're curious about is how many people are buying it because they didn't see it in the theater, and how many are buying it because they want to watch it over and over. We know we're itching to get our well-manicured mitts on it so we can gawk at the glamor and fashion at our leisure. How about you?

Also, many blondes do a little cheating up top, but what, are you going to take your hairstylist aside and ask him if he does any under-the-table treatments? Marilyn Monroe knew your pain. The curtains gotta match the carpet.

Be honest: Do you ever really get sick of playing the "Which Sex And The City Woman Am I?" game? I used to be mostly Carrie, with a healthy dose of Charlotte and a nice dash of Samantha thrown in for spice. Now that I'm married, I'd say there's been an in increase in the Charlotte factor. I could go on...and I suspect that you could too.

Luckily, the mastermind behind the women's astonishing, character-defining fashions for the SATC series and the movie (as well as The Devil Wears Prada and many other hits), Patricia Field, has brought that level of chicness off the screen and, possibly, into your closet. And I got to meet with her! Now, I ask you: what does one wear for something like that? Answer: A Corey Lynn Calter "painted" blue dress. She liked it. It will now be in heavy rotation.

In a super short mini dress that showed off her flawless legs, Field was so nice and very thoughtful about her new one-off collection, Destination Style New York for HSN (buy items from this collection here). So what does Fields think is coming up next in the world of fashion? "Things are going to get sleeker, like Halston-era '70s with lots of solid color jerseys," she said (as I mentally prepared my next shopping must-haves).

Also: "Accessories, like gloves and hats, and leg adornments of all kinds. Things we haven't ever seen." She added: "Everything's getting simpler, so it's the person you see, not the embellishments on their clothes." Nice!

And what trend does she think is O-V-E-R? "Statement necklaces." From the lips of the Goddess of Style straight to your ears, you heard it here first.

Sarah Jessica Parker was fabulous as always at the Sex and City big ol' DVD release party. But, unfortunately, insider reports say that the party in and of itself was not fab at all.

Those wondering what Sarah Jessica Parker is going to do now that Steve & Barry's is pretty much kaput and the Sex and The City sequel won't be in our theaters for at least another two years should look no further for their answer. SJP is hi-tailing it to Bravo to produce a -- get this -- reality show!

But the real kicker, it's not about fashion at all. No, Parker's show is about the art world. American Artist, as it's being called, will follow a group of aspiring contemporary artists as they compete each week for a gallery show, a cash prize, and a sponsored national tour.
